Default Problem with H1 HID

I purchased an HID kit on here and it's been nothing but problems since I got it. I finally got all the wire together after some modifications. The problem I'm having now is that the light doesn't lock in place in the car. The shape of the light holster is completely different than the standard light bulbs. I'm kind of a novice when it come to these things but shouldn't the light bulb come with a holster that is exactly the same as a standard light bulb or is it just wishful thinking?

If you have an 08 tC, you'll need a H11 bulb, not H1 for the headlights.

Who did you buy the HID kit from? Have you tried contacting them?

can you just plug the HID kit into those aftermarket headlights I see on eBay with the projectors? Some of the headlight kits on eBay come with the HID kit as well...I ask cause I was thinking of swapping out the factory lights on my 05 tc

Yeah. All you do is disconnect the OEM lights on your car and plug in the HID kits. They are worth every penny you spend on them,

when you buy an hid kit make sure that it comes with a relay.

what happens when you install it using the factory harness is that it draws too much current and it burns up the wire harness. hids put a lot more stress on the wires.

with a relay, the hids run off the battery. the relay connects with one of the factory light plugs and acts as a switch rather than a power source.

if you already bought it, im sure you can find a relay harness on ebay or an hid website.
