Default The Project Has Begun! "El Martillo Azul" : PICS A

Started getting all the stuff to put in my baby.

TRD Springs, the white ones.

Question do I need to get the TRD struts or can I use different ones? Please don't crusify me for these questions if they are stoopid. My last car, Civic Si, was purchased and crashed before I got to learn how to mod it.

I put up a poll to get opinions on wheels.

EDIT:
Getting all the interior lights done by LEDmods in blue on thursday(will update with pics)
also just ordered the INJEN CAI and a TRD Shift ****.

Edit #2; Halo install

I can't believe people picked the hotswaps when you have some of the sickest wheels made in your list. CH's are ballin

<3

As far as springs and struts go, you can put the trd lowering springs on the stock struts. The TRD struts are supposed to be a little better for handling, but buying the springs & then buying better struts would be kind of a poor use of the money, since your now getting into what it would cost for nice adjustable coilovers.

I would throw those springs on the stock struts, then when you want to change it up for performance or go lower get the coilovers.

Good luck, and get the CH's.

My favorite of the list are the CX-R and the Hotswaps. But I am still contemplating which ones due to size and price. The BBS are the nicest but they r rather pricey & convincing the wife might b hard.

Thanks for the info on the struts. I was told that the stockies wouldn't last with the TRD springs

I'm not putting name brands or quality up against each other, just looks. I am checking on looks right now. The best of those are the BBS but the TSW and KONIG are also good quality wheels. Not being the best does not mean that its bad either.

But looking at your profile I can see you are a little Biast towards the BBS.

NEVER use "quality" and "Konig" in the same sentence. TSW isn't any better either.

Yeah, I'm biased, but only because they're actually a reputable brand with a history of racing and quality.

Well you are comparing a $195 konig to a $600 BBS rim. The BBS rims are a lot better, it is just what is in your budget. Konigs are no where near the quality of the BBS. If I had to chose between the cheaper two I would take the TSWs. To me the hotswaps are ugly.

CX-R's only look good super concaved. Without that sick offset, which isn't possible for our cars, you will have VERY expensive wheels that look too much like konig unknowns.

Konig isn't a terrible wheel company, but you can't compare them to BBS.

I love BBS but i'd never spend that sort of money on a wheel. I like the konig afterburners too, my girlfriend is going to be getting a set in 19" for her xb2. They look sick in person.

no they dont, the konig afterburners are hidious in person and online. i would pick those BBS pictured above, if you can 18x8.5 et 30 would be perfect all around, and you might get some concave with that size too

To each their own, I like them in person. I am digging the lip, plus the simple 7spoke design is cool.

As long as the vehicle can support a nice deep lip they look good. They look like something special I guess. I've seen alot of "special" "baller" wheels in person and they look blah. Multiple colors of GTP's and only the diamond cut looks do it for me.

No they won't fit. They are a different lug pattern, the tCs lug pattern is 5x100

how would you know you dont have it. and you could put the springs on the stocky and when the stocks cant take your crazy driving you gonna pay labor again to replace the shocks instead of dropping shocks and springs at the same time. and the cost of springs and shocks would be the same price as really trash coil overs. the strut bar can be dont on the block with the proper tools. If thats what you wanna do.
