no trade keeping the sti. or more like giving it to my girl friend to use. I drive almost 80 miles a day just going to work so it is not very economical since it gets about 20 high mpg and uses premium.

LoL.... Thanks.... but watch that dealership... they are busting some significant Scion Rules with your purchase....

ZPI FTW!

yeah.... like i said... that dealership is doing something VERY VERY BAD. and it's VERY VERY punishable.

worse is that it's in SoCal.... so i'm thinking they're trying to take away Longo's sales (as they are the largest dealership in the nation and they provide 9 free months of sirius)... so i'm sure it's not that dealership that's doing it.

That price seems really low. My dealer wouldn't budge, but gave me free floormats instead (oooh $150). I wanted a white one and they said there are none in manual...sucks.

A dealer in NJ (Dayton Toyota) tried to sell me a no-option tC for about $500 over sticker. Told them no thanks, bought my car at another dealership, then called Scion to tell them about Dayton's "Pure-Plus" pricing.

Not so sure I'd rat out a discount, but it looks like the price you got is for the spec version.

Guys, I think he is talking about the spec T version....its gotta be. My roomate works for autonation who own a scion dealership and he couldn't give me a discount, only no proc. fee and majorly over allowed on my trade.

I saw a 07 spec T for $14,988 before doc fees.

Here is the update.
Yes it is a spec edition. not the "standard version"

It turns up that two dealers gave me that price. One just matched the others so, I went to the second dealership since it was closer. Turns out I just wasted my time there. I told them that I do this for a living either sell it to me at that price or not. Since the second one told me I had to add lojack and their "enviroshield" for me to buy the car and finance the car with them at a ridiculous interest rate. It turns out that they got the car from the first dealership I went to.

I have to wait until early next week for me to pick it up at the first dealership since they are getting one from the factory with the equipment I want.

This was not a good car today. Spent my off day running around, tried to get the wool pulled over my eyes at one dealership, couldn't get the car I wanted and my girl friend got into a wreck in my sti that I foolishly let her drive. I figure today couldn't be much worse.

But I am still getting the car for the price we agreed on. Monday or Tuesday I can drive it home. I think that I need to start looking for the usual upgrades now. light weight wheels and got to find a turbo kit. 161 horse power just doesn't do it for me.

Yes you are getting it for the price you agreed on, but no you arent getting a discount. That is the price. Its a Tuner Spec, not a regular tC.

Manual is 15500 and the auto is 15800 generally.... End result... you didn't get a discount.... Pure Pricing is Pure Pricing.

So you can decrease the gas mileage such that it's about the same as your sti? You stated you were getting the tC for better fuel economy, so adding a turbo sounds like a contradiction. Oh well, at least the tC will look better than the sti.
