Question about hatch strut
Hi guys, I'm new to this forum, and this is my first post.
My rear hatch struts are not working right now. I guess they just wear out. I brought my car to the dealership, but since my three years warranty is expired, I need to pay for 135 for each strut without installation. I believe they are overpriced. I'm thinking about replace them by myself, and I have a 05 tC. I have some questions about replacing the hatch struts:
1. What is the size of the struts? Anything I should know before I buy them?
2. Is there any brand or type of struts you would recommend?
3. How can I remove the hatch strut? and how to install a new one?
Thanks a lot

Easy install. Will need a buddy or two for the install

Hey, I acctually find one in McMaster.com. They are like $13 each. Does anyone have any idea about the specification of the hatch and the strut? Such as the weight of the hatch and the length of the strut. I'm thinking about order one from McMaster. Also, this may help some people who is looking for a lighter strut for their CF hatch. Here is the website http://www.mcmaster.com/ , and you can find it on catalog page 1167.
