Default Quick question

I just ordered my tC (im going nuts waiting) and I ordered the sub package but i want to try to replace the bazooka sub with a sub i own, so can anyone tell me if a subwoofer with a mounting depth of 5.6" would fit in the box. I also wanted to thank you all for all the other good info on this forum, after 3 hours of reading i feel like i already own the car.

Off the top of my head, yes, it should fit. Check out my subwoofer how-to in the tech section. There are some pictures of the Bazooka driver out of the box.

Why would you pay all that $$ for an enclosure and wiring? You could go custom for much cheaper.

Yea i know it is way overpriced, especially for a bazooka sub but i just added all the stuff so i dont have to tear anything apart, this is my first brand new car so im too scared to tear it apart and im one of those ppl that like to install things myself. I figured if i can just change the sub i will be happy for now, especially since the one i have still sounds good at low watts, if anything it sounds better than a bazooka.

What are the specs on you sub and the stock amp? They may not be compatiable.

Build me a custom fiberglass enclosure with a 10" driver and amp with a gain control for under $300.
