Default RAAMaudio TC is coming back from the dead after 2 years!

I need a track and solo car while building a full out road race Vette, pretty much a World Challenge car, full race body, will weigh between 2,600 and 2,700 lbs, fully built LS7(600+ WHP and torque).

And, I really do love the tC, adding more to the cage today, finish that tomorrow, add more parts on the way so I can use it to get my racing license at a school I am registered for next month.

I will run the tC at the track as much as I can to get back into practice, it has always been a fast and easy to drive car.

Once my Vette is done then(and when I run the tC) my kids get to use it all they want for Solo and HPDE, TT, etc. I will run it sometimes as well

I am very excited to bring her back after sitting for so long!

The last time I weighed it, with nearly all the interior, audio system, cage, etc, only 2,675 lbs, that took one heck of allot of effort to acheive, a fair amount of money as well;)

-----------------------------------------------

Here is the car as it is, becoming, decisions yet to be made.

Audio Mods
It will have an incredibly light weight but world class competition audio system, Arc Audio 15" sub(it will play 138.4db on Music) Seas mids and tweets, Arc Audio`s new class G amps(tiny, very low weight, plenty of power) Not sure on HU and processors yet., ,
Body Mods
360 liquid OZ todal expanding foam, entire chassis filled, very very stiff. , , CF roof(it has been on the car for 2.5 years or longer, first to have one Custom grill, debadged, 35 tint all around, misc small things, stealthy, , Racetech race seats, Full race roll cage, harnesses, FIA dual density padding, Quick release, Momo Comp wheel, Momo ****, , Safety solutions window and R side drivers nets, , , It will have a CF splitter and wing soon.
Power Mods
Headers, full cat back, custom eurathane motor mounts, redline oil, water wetter, etc. Phantom grip LSD, Clutch Specialists 6 puc, 10 lbs flywheel, PP. , , either SC or Turbo, still deciding.
Suspension Mods
Progress custom race spec coilovers, camber plates, Progress sways and links, STB, Rear camber links. , , BBK being decided upon, probably go back to Wilwood, it had the first tC set at one time. , , Rear power slot rotors(plenty good enough for the track, , , ,
Wheel and Tire
Enkei 17x8 RPF1, +35mm, Toyo R888 235/40/17

Good to see you back again Rick! Be sure to post up about it on ystc as well. I was just mentioning you in a thread the other day (mentioned your build) ... so speak of the devil

Hit me up regarding what camber plates you are running as well. I am running bolts up front now to get the camber I want for autox events, but would rather dump those for plates at some point. Also curious what alignment settings you end up going with for autox. However, our cars are quite different due to what you have done, so I would have to take that into account.

Keep us updated!

Thanks and yes, I will post some pics, soon, I promise, I have a really good camera, just need to sign up somewhere to host pics. I live most of my life on the computer so doing more that typing a few lines(I am very fast on the keyboard) is more than I care to do at times;)

I finished the cage upgrades, have to take it to be inspected by the race org guy in SLC before I start putting the interior back in.

I spent most of the weekend correcting issues with the roll cage, adding more elements, making it far stronger, really cool looking as well and yesterday had it inspected by the NASA tech local guy. Passed just fine, a couple of minor points I can fix very easily that I figured needed something but I waiting to get direction from him. He was quite impressed with the design of the additions I made

Cage work is hard work!!! But I loved doing it, I helped build the original cage but it ended up being rushed and not to the level it was supposed to be built at. Mostly the welds were not all the way around the tubes, it was very hard to get to some of them. And there was only one low door bar per side.

I have my race physical today, having a tiny bit of tig welding done, then can put the interior back together.

I have custom valve Progress coilovers being built right now, changing the sways from Hotchkiss (which worked great for Solo) to a stock front and Progress rear(Dan Gardner is coaching me along on the suspension, he should know what is best with his real track record, have to order all the suspension bushings, etc. Coming along nicely now

Enkie RPF1's, same as I had on the car since the beginning, are being mounted with some R888 Toyos at the shop today as well, 235/40/17 on 17x8 wheels, those are wide tires, nearly 9" of tread, funny how they make up their own versions of MM in the tire industry

Once I get things cleaned up I will take some pics,

Got to go, running the business to pay for this fun stuff, glad I also like my business

I t ype very very fast, spend at least 70 hours a week on the computer running my business, not much time for other things like taking pics, racing, eating, sleeping, etc.

And, I am building two race cars at the same time, do all the parts picking, ordering, etc as well.

I am 56 and still accomplish 2-3 times more each day than anybody I know;)

Once I get a few more things done, clean up the mess, etc ,then I will take some time to post some pics.

Not meaning to be snobby, secretive, etc, just do not have the time to do all I want each day, pics of of a torn up and dirty car are not that cool to see anyway
