Default RADIO-DOOR RATTLE

Hey there everybody, I looked everywhere for people with similar a similar problem but all I found was the sun-shade rattle and various other ones. Does anbody else besides me have like a creaking/rattle comming from the little compartment door to the radio? Its not a quiet rattle either, its pretty bad. Just wondering if anybody had the same problem. Let me know, and let me know what, if anything, you did to fix it.

i just posted this over on another post.. but i'll post it here..

i had the dealer apply foam tape (dealer called it a "noise kit) to the center console (radio hvac controls) and reinstalled the console.. also had the radio door replaced.. both of those things cured the rattle..

I had the same problem. After about 30 mins of investigating I was able to duplicate the squeaking noise with the center console removed. I tracked it down to the 3 alignment pins above the door on the back of the console. I fixed the noise by removing the door from the center console and applying teflon tape to the 3 pins. I then reattached the door and put everything back together. I haven't heard the noise since. It's now been about a month and a half. Hope that helps.

I am actually a sales consultant at Gresham Scion in Oregon, I own a BOP XB and my speedometer rattles along with other parts of the center console... I have Clients who have had the same problem. The factory just had some problems with snugging up some plastic parts... Just take it to your local dealer, they should be able to fix under warranty.
