Default Rear Sway Bar installation question

So, I'm going to be installing my rear sway bar soon.. and I noticed there are two bolt holes on either side of the bar. The inside holes being for more stiffness.. I doubt anyone here has been able to compare the two different settings, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

I'm guessing dealerships are using the outer holes when they do the install.

Does anyone have experience with other TRD sway bars? Are the inner holes too stiff for everyday street use and really for autox only?

Thanks for any info anyone can provide.

On a side note, I just talked to two dealerships about the spring install. One quoted me $417, the other said it would void the warranty, and that they would refer me to a local garage to do the install. Yeah. Ok. Glad I didn't buy my car from them. Looks like I'll be doing the spring install with some friends this weekend.

So.. does Anyone at all have the rear sway bar? Does anyone know which holes were used in the installation?

I'm picking up my rear sway bar today. You probably already know this, but the bar is 39% stiffer in the “street“ setting (outer hole), and 64% stiffer in the “race“ setting (inner hole). I will probably try it in the outer hole first, then if I think the car still understeers too much I will try the inner hole. I don't think one setting or the other is right for everybody, it's just a matter of how you drive and your handling preferences. I figure I'll end up trying both before I settle on which one I like better.

Does the TC even have a stock sway bar in the rear?

The TRD sway bar bar looks like a simple bolt on install anybody could do.

Yes, it does. Yes, anybody should be able to take off the stock one and put the TRD one on. I'll take pics and stuff when I do mine.

I've been running on the "outer" holes for the last week or so, and honestly want it a little stiffer - so I'll probably go down to my car and move it to the "inner" hole now.

Online. mcgeorgeparts.net - the guy who works there is on this board - extrememely helpful and nice. I got the entire package (springs, sway, strut bar) for $487 shipped. Their prices are on the website.

P.S. Just moved the bolts to the "race" setting - I like it much better this way. Oddly, I like quiet exhaust and very stiff suspension

Yeah, I got confused with their competitor - partznet.com - similar prices.

I might edit my post to prevent confusion.

I doubt this will be any issue but just thought that I would let you guys beaware of the possiblity. Suspension tech made sway bars for the 2nd gen MR2 which where ripping the bolts from the undercarriage. I believe that this was fixed with some rubber mounts or something. Just thought I would let you guys know, that going stiffer with a thicker sway bar can have consequences.
