my light never goes off until i fill it up. the most i've driven with it on is a little over 20mi. then i got scared.

If I'm just into the low zone and the light comes on, sometimes it will go back off, but that's usually a function of me going up or down a hill or something. Once it comes on once, it's mostly on until you fill up. There is no first second and third warning zones or anything.

Is it me or is there just no automatic stop on the TC i fill up and the needle just goes past the F mark but doest stop like it should

It automatically stops - it's just that all the way full is farther up than the F mark is. It always stops at the same place. Thankfully our car seems to have an electronic sender - in my 98 integra when you filled up it took maybe a minute or two for the needle to come all the way up to full. Our car does it really fast.

i fill mines once a week but i always fill my car up around half tank.

The automatic stop is not a function on the car, it is a function on the stations pump. It is a safety feature. The car has no way of "stopping" the gas pump
