Default Scion car keys

Quesion....for the 07 tC, if I buy a bone stock car, would it come with that remote imbedded in the key or would it come with a fob? I was thinking that the built-in-remote key was available only if you upgraqded to the scion security system, but now I'm not sure. Thanks for the info!

07 key with separate buttons for functions.

05/06 key with rubberized single button for all functions.

ask and ye shall receive (still worthless though ).
btw, i'd assume they changed the design because of how quickly the "unlock" portion of the rubber got all effed up from use (if my keys are any example).

I'd like to use the 'new' tC key with my xB - the key itself will work fine, but I'm not sure if the transmitter is compatible - have to check on that.

Its the same exact key.. they both have separate buttons. The only difference is that the older key has one solid rubber cover while the new key has the buttons all divided. Personally I like the older key better.. but then again.. I dont get to worked up over a key

I am just glad that there is no fob and it is right on the key. Less crap on my keychain then.

new key is uglier...but the old key will not hold up for 5+ years. mine is already getting grooved on the unlock button.

did we ever get reprogramming instructions for the tc, for the remote function and the transponder function? i'm sure my dealer wants like $100 to program one of these

I'm liking the black 05-06 key. The 07 key needs a lil worok though

now this

if the tC key just had that slimness, it'd be good to go....it just looks so fat to me, lol
