It's too bad that the Drive in theater seems to be going the way of the dinosaur these days. I don't even know where in my area there's a drive-in. Did you have any problem seeing past the border of the windshield?

around me there are about 8 or so, people love em! upstate NY

no visibility issues! the drive ins usually have humps that you drive the front of the car on to point it up towards the screen. it was amazing tho

everyone that walked by when it was still light out saw me and teh gf sitting in the back with our legs stright out over the front seat flat you know and they are liek WHOAA THIS CAR IS AWSOEM lol

why dont they market it liek that? they keep the coolest things top secret until you have one lol

Actually, if I remember correctly, the social seating was one of the original selling points of the car. I remember reading about the car and reading about the social seating before the 05 was finally released. :-p

What does having a 10" sub in your car do when the sound is coming elsewhere? :?

The sound comes out of your radio, thus having a sub makes it awesome

I believe some drive-ins transmit via FM. Since the transmitter should be nearby, reception shouldn't be too big of an issue so, I'm sure it sounds pretty sweet.
I remember the wire speakers though... those were a joke :-p

I'm a half hour away from the only Drive-In here in Jersey. When I used to work for Scion, I used to brag to everyone about how great it is for the drive-in.

do they have/offer a free battery charging station or equipment or whatever? cause drive-in theaters that make you tune in with your radio means you're forced to have it on for more than an hour? sometimes more than two?

^^ well... most cars nowanddays can handle the radio being on for that long.. unless you've previously just wasted away power at your battery....

*shrugs*

theres an empty lot where they used to do drive in movies here in Aiea straight down from my apartment. Back when it was open people in my building could open up one of the windows, put a chair down in the living room or bedroom if theyre on my side, and watch whatever movie was playing that night. I wish it was still open, that would be a pretty sweet deal.

For everyone worried about your battery dying, I just bring a boom box and set it on the roof of the tc.

The drive-in by me does have jump boxes, that you can use at the end of the night in case your car dies during the movie.

yea there is 2 drive in's within 10 minutes of my house, the tc is pretty sweet for the drive in especially with my sub system. don't worry about the battery dying. i had my stereo going for about 4 hours while i was outside tinting my tailights then drove 10 minutes to the drive in and had it going again for another 2 hours or so and it was fine the whole time.

I think there is a drive-in just 20 minutes from here, not sure. If so, gotta check it out.
