Dayum. Lemme' tell you, if my ride got keyed like that, I'd be wantin' to beat the brakes off the first person I saw. I really hope you find out who did it. I don't know how you didn't straight flip out on someone when you saw that.

Dont feel too bad. 3 days after getting my 06' last year I was clipped in the back by some jeep cherokee while I was turning and he never stopped, Hit and run can you believe that crap. and nothing was ever done about it. I didnt even wanna get off my car too look at the damage I was on my way to my girlfriends house and I made her look at it before me. I thought my whole rear end was smashed in but luckily he only scratched the back and made my bumber not line up with my fender by maybe only a 1/4" or so. now that SUX.

Hopefully the person that keyed your tc gets what they deserve.

I believe the gain between the 06 and 07 is more than 1hp. Wasn't the 2AZ-FE rated for 154hp with the new SAE standards? That'd be a gain of 7hp at the crank.

^^^ thanks.... the article was dated Aug 2005.... I assume by that time the 06 tC pricing and HP/torque rating was already in set in June possiby under the old SAE rating? So 07 tC may be the 1st year tC with the new SAE rated HP/torque?

that's what i'm thinking.

If that's true, then the hp gain is definitely more than just 1hp.

You probably won't feel the hp gains. It's relatively insignificant. I'm just trying to quash any "butt dynoteers" claiming "I drove my friends 05/06 tC and it's definately slower than my 07. My car definately pulls harder." (or vice versa) Because you know we're gonna see threads like that soon.

so I ordered mine... the guy said it was allocated and its being made right now... should come in in about 2 weeks. But he has no clue whether its an 06 or 07.

I would think its an 07 as they have stopped 06s right? Or you think that I still have a chance of getting an 06 dropped on me?

they still have 06's sitting on lots... and since the 07's are out... i would think they stopped production of the 06's... so it's 50/50

Did you ask for the vin #? I think someone posted somewhere if the 10th digit is a 7 that your car will be an 07. Hell it may even be in this post but I'm too lazy to search for it :p
