The most important question though: What weight oil is stamped on your oil cap? 5w30 or 5w20?

Even more important question than above: What *EXACTLY* is your redline?

So basically with all the options lost and no hp gains...They are making a car that will no longer follow the scion trend of, "more for less". Now you can get a car that is "less for more$".

Sounds like they let all the hype and sucess go to their heads.

I don't understand. Exactly what options are lost? As far as I know, the tC is actually gaining 1 hp, a higher redline, and a few other additions for only $100 more. If you are referring to the "stripped-down" Spec Package edition, I believe the retail on that is $15k, but it's only meant for a small crowd compared to what the mainstream car buyer will be looking at.

Reading this thread and some other boards too, they really seem to have confused a lot of people with the spec package.

It's essentially a lower trim level to the regular tC. The regular tC goes up by $100 and gains a few tweaks to make it slightly better.

Joey L:Hi, my name is Joey L. How may I help you?
You: hi, i am looking for info about the 2007 tc. Any idea when dealerships will have them. scionlife.com people have posted pics of their 2007 that they bought at dealerships
You: but my local dealership has not been able to produce any info and they told me the 07 tc will not be out to late fall but i know it is out because people are already buying them
Joey L: We are getting this question more often, the 2007 Scion's are beginning to be debuted this month, beginning in the west coast, then heading towards the east coast.
You: that is what i figured.... evryone who has posted has been on the west side i live on the east
You: any idea when they should be in the east?
Joey L: We do not have an exact time from, but it normally is a few months after, which is normal.
You: wow that long..if i was to order one now any idea how long it would take?
Joey L: We would not know at this time.
You: my dealership told me i had to order the car before he would get a date... but i want to know the time before i order, any idea how this can be achived?
Joey L: no there is not since they are just hitting the dealerships. Normal delivery is about 4-6 weeks, but his is once they have been delivered to all of the ports and dealerships already.
You: when will they all be delivered?
You: so if i ordered now it would not be 4-6 weeks or it would be?
Joey L: We do not know an exact time-
Joey L: it would not be 4-6 weeks.
You: 2-3 months?
Joey L: Possibly.
You: ok thank you, you have been helpful
Joey L: Your very welcome, Is there anything else I can help you with today?
You: no thank you
Joey L: Well, thank you for chatting and a have a great weekend.
Hey guys check this discussion i had with a scion rep on scion's site a few minutes ago, here is some really good info

there is no perceptable difference in where the redline has moved to. but I wouldn't have expected it to. just look at the scale of your tc, and imagine where 100 rpm would be on the tach. If you had a 9" tach with markings in 100 rpm increments, you would still only barely see the difference.

The key is different. They removed the thin plastic thing covering the buttons and exposed some nice sturdy looking things.

Have you tried another dealership, assuming there's another one relatively close by?
