when i drive here in jacksonville it seems like the guy to girl ratio is 1 to 3 or even 1 to 4. but i've come up with a theory that i presented to different people:

girl's are generally more spoiled than guys. the tc like stated in a previous post is a reliable sporty two door coupe that females can appreciate. any car in that class with that description will attract the female population.

thus daddy buys his little angel a brand new reliable car. the car she wanted or maybe didn't want because she really wanted a lexus. but in many cases because she doesn't have to make payments and doesn't know the value of a dollar, her car's a mess. lol. j/k.

well this theory doesn't go for all families but i've heard and seen this story countless times in which daddy wants to spoil his daughter with a brand new sport compact.

I've seen more spolied boys on this forum with Daddy's money buying them tCs than girls...
I guess it's easier to write a check than to raise your kids.

In a nutshell, you hit it right there.

How I wish O I wish I had my car for free. But alas, I was only able to get me 3rd and 4th time around Tarus's and cadillacs circa the stone age.

Nothing made me more proud than when my daughter saved $12k in one year while she waitressed part-time while going to school.
Bought her own Mustang a year ago with cash - all I did was help her haggle and pick a good car.

Before I bought my tC I was interested in it partly because it DIDN'T look like a chick car . . . and I'm a chick! LOL!

not to start another Si vs tC debate but the new si looks more like a chic car than the tC

How can you call it a chicks car when 52% of the drivers are male? That's a national statistic. The xB is slightly more male and the xA is very much female, but the tC is just over 50% male drivers.

If you're seeing more women/girls driving it, its because you're not paying attention. You probably see a hot girl and then notice what she's driving. If some helmet pulls up next to you, you don't give him a second glance to notice he's driving a tC.

I drive the tC and i'm a female. But i don't think it is more female or more male. I just wanna drive a hott car...doesn't everyone???!!

p.s. I am one of like 2 girls in my area that drive the tC (my tC's better lol) compared to the like 10 guys that drive them.

I dont consider the tC to be a chick car at all. Just consider us chicks with taste. Who ever said the VW beetle is a chick car, now thats an insult lol thats one of the ugliest freaking cars built.

I dont know why girls do that? Say their tC is better when your car is basically stock. Whats the difference? Well it seems some guys act like that on this board too, lol.

shouldn't matter who owns one, or what age they are ( note to earlier post: some peeps over 30 do enjoy a nice ride ); these are nice cars and it makes more sense to bash the hondas ( sorry, had to toss that in there... ) rather then nail our own rides. My wife, over 30, had enough of the sedans/family vehicles now that our girl has her own car. The wife wanted to get back into something sporty, having owned crx's, integras, civics, a turbo mitsu, etc over the years. The TC won out over the other cars she looked at; and she was all for adding the sc, exhaust, and other mods ( more to come later as well ). On days when I get "custody" of the TC, i can have some fun with it myself; and if not--she has a ball with it.
To put this to rest: the TC is a nice affordable performance coupe; the only chick car i've seen recently is the new SI....
sorry again, couldn't contain myself anymore. see what happens when you get like so old???
