The more you care about your car, the more that will go wrong with it. You can let it sit in a garage in Montana, detail it every day and never drive it, and it will get hit with a hurricane. Yes, a hurricane in Montana.

^true - that's why i kinda stop caring for the car

i mean i clean it every other week and upgrade parts when i can but my life doesn't revolve around the car.

when i see a little scratch or nick in the paint I don't even care anymore, lol

Because the tC has a young demographic. But my friend had a brand new IS 250 that was keyd bumper to bumper so compared to him I've never really cared much about all the bumps and scrapes on my car like the one time I got hit by a fence.

My story/stories:

FIRST tC:
1.) Some kind of a hit and run. Drivers side skirt and bottom portion of the door took the hit. The door then formed some rust on it because I never bother to get it fixed.
2.) A semi cut me off on the interstate in a 65 mph zone causing me to roll the car and total it.

NEW/CURRENT tC:
1.) After the first week of having new rims on it, my dad curbed them.
2.) I then moved across the country and when I detailed the tC after the haul, I found rock chips all over my rear bumper. (Yes, I know WTF).
3.) Because of these chips, I now have three spots on my rear bumper where the paint peeled off.
4.) I hit tire tread on the interstate going 65 mph and it gave my front bumper some nice scuff marks, along with smashing my passenger release series headlight.
5.) I got three door dings on two different panels - paid $100 to get them all PDR'd, then like two days later another magically appeared on the same panel (I have yet to repair it).
6.) Some douche in a camaro on the interstate tossed up a piece of tire tread right into my front bumper. It broke my circular tow hitch cover. It is now "glued" back on lol.
7.) A valet driver curbed all four wheels (yes, even more than they already were), and bottomed out the entire car. $4G worth of damage. I got a nice check and got new wheels out of it. Never bothered to fix the underside since it isn't visable. lol

Hmm, that's about it I guess, lol.

I'm going to get my car valet'd soon now, lol.

I used to care ALOT about my first tc, and it never got touched. Not keyed, nicked, no real substantial rock chips NOTHING. Then when I traded it for my new tc I still loved it since it was my first car that I paid for and took care of etc. Then the day I traded it, someone in a truck right by it was getting in and I saw him whip his door right into my old tc's door. Nice crease right on the bodyline of the door. Two days later, another huge crease on the body line of the rear quarter.

My new tc I don't really mind scuffs/scratches but hate it when my girlfriend gets out and uses the same hand she has her purse in to close my door and it sounds like someone just threw a set of keys at my car.

That happend about 6 times and stopped after a nice lecture.

Now at the apartments I live in so far so good but I hope to get keyed so I can get myself a new paint job. Really liking hot lava. I know a guy who will do it for really cheap so after my USAA claim adjuster takes a look i'll be taking it over to himt to respray for half the price or less and i'll get me some baller wheels also.

No i'm too nervous of insurance fraud, lol.

Just a carefully planned out "Just in case" scenario.
