Gas mileage isn't going to increase THAT much, and at what cost? Not being able to drive your buddies to the strip club cause theres only one seat, no radio and no A/C? I guess there'll be plenty a room in the back for the stripper though. Not that you'd wanna take her home (weight reasons).
haha

Default weight reduction

ok here it goes my tc weighs in at 2513 with these weight reduction.
1. carbon fiber hood
2. carbon fiber hatch with lexan window
3. carbon fiber roof, meaning no more sunroof, sunroof motor or headliner.
4. completely gutted rear of car meaning no back seats no plastics no rear seat belts just bare metal.
5. braille light weight battery.
6. rota slip stream 16x7 all the way around.

any questions. and by the way weight reduction is the easiest form of horsepower. the car is 10 times quicker then when i first got it. as far as my mods here is the list
1. custom cai
2. mww header and s-pipe
3 . custom 2.5 inch exhaust from s-pipe back no muffler just straight pipe, its loud as hell but gets the job done.
4. unorthodox lighted crank pully
5. unorthodox lighted flywheel with clutchmasters stage 3 six puck
6. the tires up front are 255 45 16 bf goodrich drag radials thats right i needed wheel spacers to make them fit but they do and im sitting on tein s-types.
7. unichip ecu tuned to run 13to 1 afr off the bottle and 11to1 on the bottle
8. 100 shot of nitrous.

I ran a 13.8 at 101.4mph with a 1.8 60 foot and a 12.83 at 109.5 with a 1.9 60foot.
note i dont have a lsd still peg legged and the car still spins even with the drags and me aired down to 16psi

Nice write up Thanks for that info. Grat track times too. Is that weight with you in the car or out of the car?

My car with me in it and 1/4 tank of gas, but i took out my spare, tools, jack, and floor mats weighed 3014 lbs.. This is one porky car thats for sure.

What kind of numbers are you running without the bottle?

I remember I gutted my car when I first went to the drag strip. After i took everything out i thought "I hope I can put it back together" I took out the seats, spare, tools, center console (where the e brake is), side panels, rear panel and muffler. the side panels were a b**** for me cause i didn't know which way to turn the **** so i ended up sticking my large skinny hand in behind the panel and twist. about a month later i put everything back. when i started putting the second side panel back on i realized how to take them of and put them on

What if I wanted a few extra miles to my gallon, would gutting my back help? Plus, I'm not to fond of being the designated driver when it comes down to my friends.

To those that have had negative comments....... no comment.. I do what I do because it makes me happy and I like it. I am making this for the sole purpose of helping those out that want to know.

To those that have Shown love... Thank you .. there will be more coming . and of that you can be certain.

I drive my car the way I want to.. creature comfort means nothing to me compared to being faster then the guy next to me. I chose the tC because I liked the looks of the car and because I have done just about every honda/acura out there... not to mention a maxima and a sentra.. as for the whole friends in the back seat etc etc blah blah blah

my car has room for one other person and that is my woman.. and shes a racer as well.. so she understands and has love for it..

My friends are also racers.. so no one in MY circle of friends has had anything to say but "sweet" when they see it..

To Hooperstar...... wanted say say.. nothing but love.. .seeing where you are makes me all the more certain of keeping the faith with my project..

One Love..

I probably removed about 200lbs from stock weight on my tC during my pillar/headliner sueding project (rear seats as well) and I can honestly say that I DID feel a difference in the straightline performance of the car and of course the handling. It wasnt huge but I definitely noticed it getting up to speed quicker. It was similar to when I installed my UR Crank Pulley. Im very anxious to see what will result of this project and I wish you the best of luck!

might as well drop some serious weight, and gain 2 seconds on the quarter!
