Default Scion tC HID light bulb question

Hey guys,

Quick question. I have the 08 Scion tC. With the new H11 headlight, I was wondering I order the hidextra hid bulbs. It don't fit with my ballast. The one I have isthe BMW (ballast). I order some on eBay 3 years ago it fit perfectly. Now the plugs is slight different. Where can I get some bulbs that will work with the old ballast (BMW). I hope I make sense and people that retro fitted before can help me out here. Thanks guys!

I'm no expert when it comes to HID lighting but did you try looking for a 9006 bulb? Maybe a 9005 or 9007 possibly. If that doesn't work maybe a new ballast?

You need D2S/D2R bulbs in H11. Or you can buy Amp converters.

Retrofitting OEM HID projector bowls into a headlight that was originally a reflector style. Like the OEM 05-07 lights.

I asked because I didn't think aftermarket headlights required you to change bulb types.

Well im going to have to change the bulb if i want HIDs. It starts as an H7 then converts into 9006 OEM connection i have an 06 Tc if that helps.

Well with the HIDs you wouldn't need the conversion wires. Just order them with H7 bulbs and 9006 ballast connectors. That's what people do when they upgrade from 05-07 lights to the OEM projectors.

I don't think it's the bulb problem since it's not a retrofit, I think his bulb fits into the 08 headlight socket but rather it's probably the connector that connects the bulb and ballast together that doesn't fit
