I ordered it for a 2007 Yaris, which has the same key as us. I'll let you guys know if it fits.
The keyblank itself should slide into the locks and when you have it cut, it will work everything EXEPT it will not start a tC. The one you ordered does not have the chip in it. To get a flip open that works, you will either have to fabricate a body yourself and butcher your old key, or find someone that sells JUST THE COMPUTER part of the key and then find how to program it to YOUR specific car.
I'm transplanting the internals of one of my old keys into this key, there will be no problems starting the car.

how far is broken arrow from texas? I might want to come watch the operation =) Yeah, putting the guts will work, and if it has buttons on the switchblade, you might get lucky and be able to line up the sensors on your fab for that part too.

When you get in the one, take pictures as you take it apart and stuff. I want to see what the spaces on the inside look like and see what i could do with one. I am also working on remote controlled windows and sunroof. almost done with that and if the switch blade thing works and has buttons, i may combine the two

Broken Arrow is about three and a half hours from DFW. I personally don't need the buttons on my key, because i have a two way pager remote. I'll just probably transplant the chip inside the key and call it good. If you want i can try to figure something out to get it to work correctly with the buttons. I'll keep you guys posted.

I'd like to get down on this as well. Watching. Isn't there a way that you can have the scion buttons transfered from the Scion key to the switchblade key? Plus, since you have the exterior already, you can custom color match your switchblade with your tC color!
