Default Scion TC seatbelt warning disable

I can hear the flames now:
"Seatbelts save lives!!"
"Just put it on and the warning will go off"
"I hope you die!"

BLAH BLAH BLAH

So , since that is over with, let me tell you why I wanted to do this:
As far as the passenger side is concerned if I have something heavy in the front seat then the thing blinks the whole trip. This isn't a problem in the daytime but in the night time you can really notice it.
As far as the driver side goes: I know when I am not wearing my seat belt, I don't need a beeping blinking alert to tell me! Plus, on trips I always wear my seatbelt anyways. But the other night I was parked in a parking lot and I had to drive around the parking lot to another store and I didn't want to put my seatbelt on as I was going 5mph-10mph the whole time, and right when you hit 9mph it starts beeping faster, which is extremely annoying!

So lets get on to the extemely easy fix:
(this may or may not disable the passenger airbag, not sure. If someone knows please enlighten us)

Under each seat (Passenger rear of seat, Driver front of seat) there is a two wire plug that can easily be unplugged. Once that is done the "mod" is complete!

Here come the flames.....

That's cool.. just hope you don't get into a fender-bender in the parking lot with some other moron.

Well a "fender bender" usually implies it is a small accident, one that only bent the fender, SO..... I don't think the seat belt would help in that instance anways.

but I hope I don't get in a fender bender either.

Thank you thank you thank you.....I have been trying to figure out how to make that noise go away. I take my seat belt off when I get into my apartment complex so I can park in my garage. My seat belt always bothers me when I am backing up for some reason and that nose just bugs the heck out of me.....kinda annoying when I am trying to concentrate on backing up into my garage.

i think i got a solution. those things doesnt really bother me but for those that does., heres my solution.

ductape the ligits and get the seatbelt from the rear passenger.. the one in the middle, disasemmble that and use it to click on the driver seatbelt. Since it takes so much energy to pull a seatbelt

so much work?? come on.... it takes less than 1 minute for both seats if you are going slow.

Oh and :
ductape the ligits and get the seatbelt from the rear passenger.. the one in the middle, disasemmble that and use it to click on the driver seatbelt. Since it takes so much energy to pull a seatbelt
Well I don't want to ruin my back middle seatbelt, plus I dont need a solution that with render my seatbelt plug useless for long periods, just a solution that will rely on my own concious brain to remember that I don't have my seatbelt on.

just remember to plug it back in god forbid you ever get into an accident *knock on wood*

The insurance people probably wouldn't be too happy to find that unplugged.

oh i know, When i took my seats of my 200sx, theres a wire in the bottom that connects to the seatbelt. You dont have to cut it , just unplug it... there you go.... easy fix.

Yeah it is easy, I think the word "CUT" was just used for the first time in this thread. I suggested the unplug method as well.
