Default Scion tC viewed by other countries

Well just for the kicks of it I went to google.it and typed in scion tC. I read the first 6 hits I got and I must say I'm not very happy about the results.

On 2 sites errors were made:
1. One site said the new 08 model has 164 hp.
2. The "reporter" sounded extremely snobbish in tackling the subject of whether this car would be attractive to the young italian market. It said "I don't believe italians will want to go around with this as an icon in fashion city Milan but it would fit rather nicely, being bland, in american campuses."

Now I'm italian and I obviously defend my country and people, but not when they are wrong. in the first situation I posted a comment saying "the max. hp was of 161" and in the second article...oh boy...

I wrote "given by the nonesense you wrote it shows you have done a very poor job in researching before writing this misguided article. The ENTIRE purpose of these cars IS to personalize them so bland is one word you got wrong, among the many others in your article."

Another one had plenty of idiots saying "this american car is sturdy but bland like the people who designed it" another one read "chinese people need to stop putting these ugly things on the market"

bah

I doubt it would do very well in Europe actually... of course we all love it and there would be people over there that love it as well... but its just a different breed than what is mostly over there.

I don't know why they'd bother "reviewing" a car that they will never have though. Which leads me to believe they really don't care if they get the stuff right or not...

I think people in Europe would like it... but I have only been there a couple of times and the tC does seem a bit bigger than your normal driver. But, like I said, I have only been there a couple of times didn't stay too long.

I still think it would do good in Europe regardless of size.

Maybe that reviewer thinks that only Ferarri's and Lambo's are the only attractive cars in the world and every other car is crap anyways.

You can describe pretty much any damn car in the world as "bland" except for maybe the exotics and more powerful special edition cars of any given model. Cars are just 4 wheels and an engine - what does the guy want? Edgy styling? Paradigm breaking design? Presenting.... the Pontiac Aztek! The most different car in the world!

Another 2 comments from that stupid site:
- this car would never sell here because being that cheap people will think its a POS and will never buy.
- imagine the resale value of these coackoraches

If they only knew......

one thing they did get right, they are complaining about how cheap cars in the states are and how lucky americans are under this aspect

Shank is a sharpened toothbrush.

Prison style.

Stab them with a "shank"

Shanking.

:D

It means a million different things but mainly its a stabbing term.

aren't a good percentage of the cars in Europe tiny 80-hp boxes? I guess they can't afford the nice cars that are available to them after their government takes 60% of their salary away in taxes.

no way man, fiat's are very exciting. Like the "how will I get home after it breaks down" game, or the "what type of fluid is leaking on my foot" challenge
