My fiance has an 06 altima 2.5 and I have an xb2. The altima has more torque but I really believe the horsepower is inflated on those cars.

I can out run her car with no problem and even though its an auto, the extra "15 horsepower" should make it quite even (both cars weigh almost the same). Oh and the 2az > qr25, those motors are junk.

Wise decision, my fiance's has 50k on it and honestly don't think the motor will make it to 100k. Hopefully it blows up before then since Nissan bumped the powertrain warranty on select vin#s that had the recall on the motor back in 06.

My 03 altima uses way to much oil, i don't know it burns or what but ever 1k miles it goes down half dip stick. No leaks what so ever. The 4 cylinders are not good and they are built in this country. Only the v6 are really good (VQ engine), those are use on the 350z, g35 and maxima as well.

Other then burning oil it runs fine, besides the crank sensor burn out on me a couple of times, but nissan replace it for free since I bought the extended warranty.
