Default Scion tC vs. Two Kia's

Well, my sister saw a commercial the other day. Our local Kia dealor is offering, buy a big Kia, get a little kia for FREE!!!

I never thought I would see a buy one get one free add for cars.

So, should I trade in my tC for two Kia's? I mean it seems likely that one Kia would be out of the shop at a time right?

actually, insurance can be cheaper with 2 cars. u get a multi-car discount, seeing as u can't drive both at the same time. one goes in as your normal everyday car and the other gets rated pleasure. i know when i had my wrx and my beater my insurance when done compared to when it was just my wrx.

I actually lol'd at that.

What is this? Cars aren't like $.99 hamburgers, buy one get one free. I've never seen such a promotion, and if I did it would just be all the more reason to avoid Krapias. You know how they offer 10 year warranties? Only companies that expect a lot of problems do that. A company like Toyota which has stellar product quality only offers three year warranties.

Haha, just again. Kia, just the name is funny now, kinda like Suzuki when talking about cars. I've seen a couple of those and they are the only thing uglier than Kias I've seen on the road.

Keep in mind, there is never such a thing as a free lunch. Do you remember when Daewoo launched? They were practically giving their cars away, and then come Jan 31, all of those Daewoo buyers were 1099'd on the value of the car and Uncle Sam came a knockin'. Just like the tax bill you get when you win that purdy Mustang on The Price is Right - to quote a GREAT movie - "The Price is WRONG, Bob!"

i'm pretty sure it's only on the base model kia rio...which is like $11k on the kia site, but i'm sure you can get one for less than that at the dealer...if they really want to reduce it so much that it's half price (buy on get one)

i would buy a kia if i was really poor and i needed a car. my friend had a first year rio, it wasn't too bad, but it had stuff like a/c power locks and windows auto tranny cd player. so i guess if you get the base model, it's really limited inside.

Every time I hear the commercial on the radio where they say "the new Sport Tuned Kia Spectra 5", I start laughing. I can't help myself. "sport tuned Kia".

Buy one get one free ads are actually quite common guys. . . but usually they are reserved for more expensive cars. I believe GM ran a few special deals for 'Vette's and certain SUV models in which you'd get a free Cavalier. The great part is that it saves the dealer's money. They give you a crummy car that they can't get off their lot, and make your problem.

Which Kia model is being offered? Oh and Kia cars are built off Hyundai platforms. And btw, Hyundai has the same quality levels as Mercedes Benz, which is good or bad, depending on your perspective.
