the new accord is absolutely hideous. I think Honda's recent car designs are so ugly (tsx, tl, accord, 09 civic redesign, pilot). i like hondas, so its hard for me to feel this way. conversely I think Hyundai's recent designs look good LOL
i'd love to get an A4 avant (i love wagons), but for the same price I could get a larger Toyota Venza and drop it on 20" Works. same scenario with my tC. back in 2005 I was about to drop $25K on a RSX Type S or Accord Coupe V6 6spd, but the $17K tC allowed me to buy Volk wheels and Tein coilovers in the first month, then pay it off in 10 months. the RSX or Accord would have taken 3 years to pay off and I'd be on stock wheels (18's off a TL or something) and just springs.

i test drove a gran touring hyundai genesis the other weekend and almost fell in love, so quick and fun to drive, black with tan leather, bembo brakes, 18" wheels, 3.1 v6, manual, i loved it, but not the 33k price tag for a hyundai, and im not ready to trust there turbo model, they havent been around them enough for me to jump in that thing

I have a feeling the 4 banger turbo model will be the model of choice and believe that the motor has a lot of potential. Hopefully I am right because I would love to see a RWD 4 cyl turbo thats affordable on the market again.

I will give Hyundai one thing, they really did a good job at trying to make a luxury car to stand up to Mercedes, BMW, etc.
Although I'd prefer one of the latter if given the choice, but all around the Genesis was a good attempt. If they keep going that way, I can see them breaking some ground in the future.....but not now.

I'm not gonna lie, I hate Korean cars all together. But that being said, just today on my way to work, I saw a very attractive looking sedan that caught my eye (doesn't happen much), turns out it was a Genesis! I've seen them before but this one was fully loaded and gloss black. Very sharp looking car. They spent over three years developing the V8 in that car and dubbed it the Tao I believe. Back in the early 90's, Hyundai was partnered with Mitsubishi and used 4G63 motors in some of their earlier models that even said Hyundai on the valve cover. I have a feeling they have done their homework with the Genesis line both coupe and sedan. As for the rest of their cars... well, I'd rather walk. I think the turbo on the 4 Cyl turbo Genesis coupe is a Mitsubishi turbo or based off of it. Not 100% on that though. Just some food for thought. BTW Kia still sux ***** imo.
