thanks for the pessimism, but if I receive a lip that is not poly-urethane you guys will be the 1st to know.

im sure the reason why people are "still selling individual pieces" is because third party vendors purchased it in bulk and have it lying around their warehouse given that most people don't have almost $1000 to spend on a lip kit. in order to get some $ during this recession, they just want to sell. period.

but if you are looking into just getting the full plastic imitation kit, PM kirby (SEXB909). at the last meet i saw him at, he mentioned there is a place in Florida or something that made a "fake", plastic 5axis kit for less than $600

this is exactly why the car industry sucks.
reputable, well respected companies spend hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars developing good products only to have a knock off made shortly after.
then all the tight wads come in and buy the cheaper knock off and complain that it doesnt fit as well/work as well etc.
this is why companies are hesitant to make good products and why some companies arent doing so well.
you get what you pay for, in more ways than one.
fitment, overall quality, customer service, and most importantly imo, knowing you "gave back" to the brands that are looking out for enthusiasts better interests, not just trying to make a quick buck.

yea see every site I have seen now doesn't offer separate parts except for that ilovebodykits site and they are on the do not buy list from kaminari because they sell a cheap fake version of theirs.

have you tried emailing Ken directly or PMing him here?
im pretty sure theyre not listed on the site but if you ask they can get it.
here is the PM i recieved from him when i asked.

"Hi,

The rear panel is $249.00 + $130.00 shipping. The piece comes primered, not painted.

Ken"

I received that PM on 11/30/09 so it wasnt to long ago.

i would love to take credit for that picture but i believe giving credit where credit is due. i think if you look closer at the bottom of the picture i posted, it states the name of the photographer that took the pic. he/she did a great job!
