Next would be ... why put forth such an expensive effort???
You'd have to weld and cut a new hatch.

Why not just chop the entire top off your tC.. might cost near the same and be more stylish.
That is actually a good and very realistic idea. I have seen many muscle cars in the past with their roofs lowered. Makes it look more sleek. Thanks for a positive alternative instead all these immature know-it-alls that call any mod on a tC rice.
Hey Necromancer....

I think you should make your tC, your own....meaning...if you want to do a custom job, do it....
What I have noticed in these forums....is that anything (and I mean anything) that has been customly done...is considered rice to someone else...I made my tC, my own....Pictures of it have circulated this site and of course...it's been called a ricer....which to me doesn't mean anything....
because aren't all cars that originate in Asia considered rice??

btw...my friend put 350z tail lights on his 1999 eclipse....I know it's hard to picture....most people don't know what it is until they ask him...and every where he goes, he gets complimented....

*personally I like being unique*

rice is putting somethign on a car that has no business being there....

Example...

A Honda Civic 1996 Sedan with a 2000 NISSAN Sentra SE-R Badge on the rear...

A super large park bench rear spoiler on a FWD car that cant even get over 100MPH in a 1/4 mile let alone on a track...

Putting a TURBO emblem on a Non-Turbo car...

Putting NISSAN S15 Silvia Headlights on an Acura Integra...

Isnt scion all about "What moves you" anyway? if it was me id leave it be. putting nissan lights on a toyota/scion car wont look right. plus before you get the lights you gotta measure and subtract to see if they even fit. i just dont see all of this fitting cleanly. But if it works out id like to see it. i probably wont like it but its all about "What moves you"

If you dont mind being the subject of much rice abuse, then do the custom work.
Why the skyline though man...cant people just leave it alone. You like the r34 so much then import one.

You guys make me laugh with how much you consider rice. Grow up and beyond your closed minds. Just b/c you don't like something doesn't mean it's rice. I say do it, be different and unique.

Im just saying they will receive some rice-related abuse for it. I think it would be an enjoyable project if you have the time. If you go through with this or something similar..post some pics to let us know how it turned out.
Its not as bad as my friend who switched his tail-lights for LED's...ugh

Skyline taillights on the tC would make it look like.... the new Chevy Cavalier, I mean, Cobalt.

You obviously didn't read the details into the modification. Its not just the taillights, but the whole back end that I am changing. Just picture the R34 on the back of the BSP tC.
