Smoke Tailight Problem
#21
i got towed by the police, which in this case was illegal for them to do, and I told them it was. All I did was print out the law take it to the court that I was challenging the ticket in and I got out if it easy and the state had to pay all my court costs and everything was erased.

Yea but around here cops hate when you challenge them and they automatically want to throw you in nickel plated bracelets. I truely believe he was bored because I wasn't speeding or anything just following the curve to my house. Like I say O well.

or just man up to the fact that u were doing something illegal.
I got a tint ticket last week.
ive had tints for about a year, and finally got one.
i asked the cop if it was a fix it ticket, he said nope, just a regular one.
yea it sucked that i got a $75 ticket, but my tints are illegal, and thats a fact.
so i paid the ticket and moved on...left the tint on though. lol.
just gotta stay outta Elmhurst, IL

well i never knew or thought that they would be illegal because so many cars in South FL have them, some are even painted on, luckily for me all i had to do was just peel mine off and avoid a ticket

i dont think they are entirely illegal.
im pretty sure here in IL the law is that you have to be able to see the brake light when its illuminated from at least 100 ft.
im sure you couldve challenged the cop but its not really worth the hassle.

I've had my tinted tails (done by jonstintedtails.com) on for 1 year and have gotten 1 ticket (for speeding, hooray) in that year. never had a cop say anything about my tinted lights. They're pretty dark too. Bad thing is - mine can't peel off, lol.
