yeah no hatin' meant here...maybe he got ripped off, maybe he didn't...who knows?
I know I did-- I paid $165, but the install wasn't very good-- I would've gladly paid $100 more (like I did on my camry) for a quality install w/ much better films... but I know people can get pretty good deals w/ tint: I'm just too lazy to hunt them out.

Check it out. Not like they really care here anyways.
Shops will do whatever percent tint you want, no matter how illegal. They will, however, inform you of the state laws before they proceed to cover their asses. It's your choice to break it...and most do.

BEWARE!!! I have been a automotive tinter for 10 years+
get what you pay for , by looking at his tint , i would say he has a high grade metalized film installed on his TC , for those of you that were shopping around and save 60 or 80 bucks, you had dyed film installed on your car , the difference ?Dyed tint is really only for looks and will not keep you car cooler, and will not last , most turn purple , fade , and de-lam (peel)
metalized film will: keep you car cooler , not delaminate nearly as fast , and last 5 times longer
and the final factor , and the biggest one , is how good is the tinter ...dust ,clean job etc...BTW Computer cut paterns do not compensate for exsessive film shrinking, and all glass being different (cause it is) no matter what make or model , not to mention good prep work , Bottom line , Good Tint Jobs , Good Money ... peace

yea i got a good tint, that helps keep out the heat, and has a life time warranty through the manufactorer against turning purple, peeling, bubbling, etc. and i got 20% on the back and 30% on the sides. all for 150 and legal, and it is a really well done job.

I had tint on my last car through the dealer and it was $225 (dealer got their hands in, no doubt). My car was always nice and cool. I'm gonna get it done on my tC from the same shop. They did an awesome job and I think I kinda need it here with the Texas heat. =)

I got my xB done from a friend that used to do it that uses high grade tint. I got 5% all around for $100. (No tint law here in GA as of right now!! ) Never had any problems with it and he has always did all my cars/trucks. Never faded nor had any other problems with at all.
