yes it will but to see it, the car would have to be jacked up. mostly done with fins for aerodynamics, looks, and to protect the bumper from getting burnt from exhaust IMO

Well I only planned on making it up to the end of the bumper. So I don't know how you would want it to protect the bumper from the exhaust. And this was gonna be done for mostly aerodynamics. The front was gonna extend a little bit out for looks though. This is gonna be a tough project if I wanna do it.

That rear diffuser on the STi is awesome... can't wait till I can get one for my future sti. :D

I like the old 5axis rear diffuser idea, and if it was CF it'd be twice as good looking.

Also the tc can go faster than 135 with the limiter cut. (easily done with multiple brands of engine management)

I'm sure Sciongt35R (I think thats his name) and his 500+whp tc can do much better. So don't count the tc out as a performance car.

The only way to break the 140 MPH barrier on the tC is to actually change the gear ratios on the tC, or the final drive would be enough. That along with the power to get the car to speed and there's one record top speed tC. I don't know of anyone that has actually gone that far on modifying the tC though, yet it would be nice.

A good way to make the difusser would be to lay up an acrylic piece then use it a s a mold to build one out of CF......that woudl be the least expensive way to do it.......once you get the CF on you can pull it off the mold and fill the back side with fiberglass for more strength......you can do it......

Yeah well I priced the carbon fiber. It's about $2,000 to do the undercarriage (found the dimensions and made a guess, subtracting some parts like the exhaust tip and the wheel areas)

I would not suggest CF because it cracks real easily. Maybe fiberglass (alittle more durable, but heavier) or aluminum. I think it would look sweet in CF but it wouldn't be worth it once you bottom out or hit a rock on the freeway. Look into other composites such as kevlar (yes I know it would be bulletproof) and fiberglass. Good luck with what ever you choose and if this is your first time laying composite do it with some one very very knowledgeable because if you screw up it will cost alot more.

carbon fiber is much more duable than fiberclass. it's almost impossible to repair, unlike fiberglass. But, I feel that fiberglass will bend and possibly crack when going at faster speeds (50+). At least to my knowledge. someone correct me if I'm wrong.

actually, that drag coefficient sucks rat *****... every .01 you can shave off the drag is beneficial. if we could get the drag down to 0.26 we could probably get 40mpg without much effort. in addition, acceleration and stability at speed would improve. these effects have been experimentally quantified at speeds as low as 40mph - just check out ecomodder.com

Acrylic is brittle-would crack easily and as stated, wouldn't like heat.

Aluminum would deal with the heat better and it's pretty easy to work with but sharp edges could eat into the bodywork and your hands when using it.

You could check the diffusers for sale out there (like that sti one) and see what you could cut down to fit-cheaper than a custom one most likely.

Carbon fibre front splitters are everywhere on race cars, they will chip but seem to hold up pretty well from what I have seen.

just fold the aluminum over so it's softer.
