Default Someone hit my parked car! ahhh

Shoot when out partying, came home at 3:30 am and awoke the next afternoon only to find this waiting for me. How much do you think this would cost to be repaired? I got a ball park figure of $800. the guy didn't see it yet, i just described it to him. ANyone from the NYC area know any reputable bodywork guys that can do a good job? Price isn't too much of a concern for me, just want it to look like new.

Ugh, that brings back bad memories for me, mine looked almost exactly the same as that, what sucks is that the dent is right on the crease, so paintless dent can't do anything to fix it.

Hit and run into my parked car as well.

I went all around my town and got quotes from anywhere from $300 to $611.

I know how you feel. My Impreza was hit on Fat Tuesday(most likely by some drunk a**hole). It was roughly the same amount of damage as your tC....cost over $1000. A few days later, i was on the list for my RS 1.0 tC. It turned out good in the end, my Impreza is fixed & i have a tC now.

You should park your car in safer areas. This is a sign that you were either too far right of the parking spot or you were too far away from the curb if you parallel parked.

Yeah, it's the parked car's fault it was hit or the driver's for parking it and leaving it helpless to get hit by a bad driver.

All we have is a picture of fender damage, no area setup or description of where/how it may have happened. From the lack of scrape marks on the damage, it looks like it was backed into as a side fender to fender hit would leave scrape marks.

Hope that is easy to repair. Looks like a new fender might be the best solution.

Find a designated driver next time to take the beating

hehe, j/k... my condolences... you can always control how you drive, but you can't control how others drive :?

only helpfull advise so far IMO. I don't know any shops around you, but since the part is fairly inexpensive you should try doing it yourself. should be just a few bolts.

They don't come pre-painted, and it's hella hard to match silver, especially when painting ONE body panel, and bolting it on to the rest of the car. You'll need to blend it in. The normal repair procedure is best, take out inner fender cover, bang out the metal best you can, bondo the rest, paint, blend.

well its going to be 760... 290 in parts, 400 in labor, the rest taxes. I don't want to spend 300 less and risk letting them banging it out and its not to my expectation. then i would be sore about that area. shoot could have gotten headers, intake, and a nice system for that money.......

If it were me, I would have tried the next day to bang it out myself- I figure theres no harm in trying if they have to replace it anyway-
