Default Sponsorship Proposal - Accepted!

I've never done one of these... but I've read through the Sponsorship for Dummies thread a few times and spent most of the evening working this out.

I have no idea what kind of chance I would have of getting accepted or what the terms may or may not be... but I'm going to submit a request to Corbeau to try to work out something for a set of seats. Figured wth... why not? Can't hurt, right?

They do have this page for their sponsorship request info:
http://www.corbeau.com/service/sponsorship/

I've gone through that a few times and have completed their application (separate from this part). But here's what I have for an actual proposal. I PDF'd it. There is a "cover" sheet, the actual letter, and then some detail pages that follow the letter. Looking for CONSTRUCTIVE feedback here. Like I said, I've never done this and haven't even ever read anyone else's. This is just all me, from reading the thread I mentioned above. Go easy on me...

I am at work so I can't read the whole thing but I did skim through it. To be honest it looks pretty good to me. Mine was not nearly as nice as yours and I did acquire a sponsorship from Corbeau. Good luck buddy!

I've read through it, looks good.
Everything sounds professional, and sounds like you definitely know what your doing. Kept me interested the whole time.

don't get too caught up... corbeau sponsors annyyyyyyoneeeee

you will get like 15% off and then have to keep their stickers plastered on your car.

--------------------------------------

As far as the proposal goes:

you have covered the bases well and everything is very professional. Asking questions like "Did I mention I drive a Scion?" might be a little informal. Throw in some phrases like "return on investment" and make you sound like the next champion. They want a guy who eats, breathes, and sleeps autocross to give out the major sponsorships to. Show them more pictures and tell them about moderating a forum and having that outlet to really push the product; word of mouth sounds like you are going to chat to your buddies about your discounted seats lol. If you have any other questions or anything, feel free to AIM me... I don't come back here to often.

^ All helpful. Thank you!

I did attempt to keep some of it informal... but do need a bit more "wordsmithing." Basically I figured I'd start here and see how well it works and if there's any success, I'll consider trying for something else.

Oh ya, didn't mention I'll be including a couple pages of pics. Most autox "in action" ones... but a couple from a show or two as well. I just didn't include them in that PDF.

Appreciate the feedback guys. I'm going to run through it again later today when I haven't been focusing on it for the last few hours.

You should try to get TireRack. I always see tirerack plastered on cars at AutoX and Time Attack events. They seem to be easy to get...I'm going to try to get a sponsorship from them before I buy new tires lol.

You see that at events because they sponsor the national tour and and national runoffs and it's a requirement to have that logo on the windshield.

Ya, it's part of the sticker package for the national autox events or larger regional events.

Haha... actually I might. If I were buying on my own, I might go with the gray cloth for a closer-to-oem look. But if I'm going to promote their product, it should be pretty obvious, right? Maybe the red would be a good color to request so people see them?

The red is awesome. ____ing awesome. It's beyond obnoxious, but so far I've gotten nothing but huge props on the seats.

Gotta go with the red :D.
