SSC 50S safety recall notice
I just got my recall notice in the mail re: the mooroof wind deflector laminate installation and called my dealer to schedule an appointment. They had not heard of it and "it was news to them". They had to look up what the fix involved. After several minutes and some disconcerting confusion, I decided not to schedule the appointment. I think I'll let them "get a few under their belt" even though the fix is pretty minor, rather than be their first guinea pig. I don't have rattles in the roof yet and have a sneaking suspicion they might "install" some while "repairing" this defect.

Very smart move!! If they don't have a clue.. no need to learn on yours!!

I got my notice in the mail on 10-27-05 from Scion. I took my tC in on 10-31-05 for the free oil change and showed them my notice. They did it that day, although it took them almost 7.5 hrs to do it! (I was the 3rd person there that morning! ) My dealer told me that he had done a few of the laminates already. You can't really see it, but you can feel it on the underside of your deflector. You won't even notice its there.

I Just had mine done yesterday, i havent really looked to see what they did. All's i know is that my moonroof was rattling too, so i had them fix that...on the paper it says they "lubed the side railes and padded all pieces and contacts" and when i got in the car of course...there was grease crap on my headliner...so i had them wipe it off..then while he was inside i noticed this sticky goo all over the top of my car glass and paint...i was like and made them wipe it off before i left! now it's all better.
