I'm bumping this old thread instead of creating a new because this is EXACTLY what I was going to post about.

I have a creaking (sounds like to rubber bushings rubbing) when I turn my steering wheel left or right. I have a large about of squeaking in the suspension. A lot of bolts need to be tighted and bushings for the sway bars need to be regreased. But the noises while turning the steering wheel are what bother me the most. Anyone had this check out by a professional mechanic or found the cause for themselves?

Honestly I would start with the loose bolts/sway bar bushings and get all of that out of the way. THEN try to diagnose the steering sounds.
