i was close to getting a set of staggered 19" Axis Supermesh or Hiros (19x8 & 19x9.5), but I think 19's look unproportionally too big on a tC without a factory body kit. if youre in the Los Angeles area, and you have $1400, I can direct you to the people selling them (if theyre still available)

Nice lookin rims. Im a big fan of the gold rims with the white tC. Just throw on some tint and your car would be totally dope.

word of advice for wheel buyers. i bought my wheels used from a guy who had them on this VW GTI (5 lug Golfs/Jettas from 95+, and all Audi TT are 5x100). VW/Audi uses 14mm lug bolts, while japanese cars (tC's included) use 12mm lugs. So the lug holes on the wheels are 2mm too big. I'm running hubcentric spacers, but there is still a small amount of road vibration. Its not terrible, but its sounds similar to a worn wheel bearing (low humming sound). Some people say its not a problem, other say the wheels can come loose. I've torqued the lugs to 77 pounds and they havent loosened any (i've put 150 miles on the wheels). I'll probably get the holes filled and redrilled to 12mm. I drive like an old lady, so I'm not concerned about losing a wheel (i'll be checking the torque spec from time to time). If I tracking the car, I would not use these wheels.

Volks (and most Japanese wheels) do not come in 14mm holes, so VW owners have to get them drilled out (which was the case for my wheels). European brand wheels are commonly 14mm out of the factory. Heads up to anyone buying wheels that came off a VW, or aftermarket wheels that are VW compatible (Axis wheels for example).

VW compatible 5x100 wheels are appealing because they use lower offsets (20-35), so they'll fill out the fenders well on our tC's. Subaru also uses 5x100, but they run higher offsets (44-50), which look nasty on a tC.

xB and xA owners dont have to worry since 4 lug VW's are 12mm.
