now i now 2 gauge is a bit overkill for this, but this one type r is at max power and i plan to add greatly to this in the future, so I might as well run the big wire now. This thing is soooo loud, you can hear me from miles away with the bass **** at minimum!

comments/questions? Keep in mind this is only temporary, i plan complete custom fiberglass enclosure and DVD in dash NAV, speakers and such! I figured i has these sitting in my room from the last car, might as well put them in the tc!

are you sure your gains are set correctly? you shouldnt have nearly any bass comming through the subs with the bass **** all the way down.

 

Since the sub is being powered at max power, and there is over 1000 watts going to this 1 speaker, the lowest bass is still bumpin...

i suppose i could turn the amp down,,,but why? i like to boom at the stoplights! once i get the fiberglass box made it will sound alot different!

I realllllly need to get some of that raam mat!i should have done that before i put the thumper in there!

Trust me your not getting 1000watts out of that amp lmao maybe in the area of 500 peak but not 1000. Anyway it looks like a good start and like you said why not run the largest wire you can from the begining so you don't have to go back later and upgrade. That was a smart thing to do. I ran O guage in my wifes tC but it will have more then 2000rms true wattage once I'm done with it.
