The tC is dead...
Somebody sent my 2008 tC through a fence in my apartment complex...while it was parked...while I was taking a shower. I don't even know how it was physically possible given the layout of my complex, but they managed to do it. And without witnesses...yay!
So, Champion Toyota bodyshop came back with an estimate totaled at $7,800. I just decided to sell it for what I could as a $7,800 repair would have severely impacted trade-in value later on anyways.
I took my trade-in (haha...) and became a proud owner of a new 2009 Mazda CX-7 Touring. Because the 2010 models just came out, I got a hell of a deal on a new 2009. I choose this car because it's got the heart of a Mazdaspeed3 (zoom zoom!)and the body of an actually useful crossover SUV.
I have to admit, it's fun driving an SUV that's quicker than my tC. Of course, my tC only had an intake... But I did buy a used Turbonetics turbo kit from Streetstars here on this forum a few months ago, I just never installed it. It's a complete kit, but it lacked the injector clips and a TRD oil pan. I added both those things, so whoever I sell it to just needs to balance the turbo and repair a small section of th IC piping Who's interestred! lol I know this isn't a FS post so I'll stop ;)
TL;DR tC got _______, traded in for 2009 Mazda CX-7, love the CX-7 (zoom zoom!), have a complete Scion tC Turbonetics turbo kit I need to sell soon

alright dude...make sure you get that sneak peek. Pick up as much stuff from the car as possible. Especially the rear quarter panel trim. If its not scuffed or scratched, I will buy the left one for 70 bucks. 70 easy dollars for you.

well, i got to see her one last time today, but she was in pitiful condition. completely stripped...i think they already mined what they could and left the rest for the car-crusher they even took my oakleys i left in there lol.
on a brighter note, i'm loving my cx-7. i already installed a forge bpv, aem sri, and corksport turbo inlet pipe. it's like a whole new car already, and it actually sounds pretty mean. now i don't feel like i'm driving a soccer mom mobile ;) i put an order in for an ets tmic a couple days ago so that should be in early next week. a new tmic with a 3.25" core has been consistently dyno'd at 20whp average gains, mostly on stock setups, so i'm expecting big things from my slightly-modded setup. after i install the tmic, i'll need an ecu flash from custom performance engineering before i can start messing with the exhaust or turning up the boost because the ecu on the cx-7 likes to cut fuel once you get over 18psi or so. after the flash and a custom 3" mid-pipe which deletes the 2nd cat, i should be sitting pretty at 240+whp that'll allow me to smoke every other SUV on the road lol, except cayenne turbos, but it'll be fun pulling up to a porsche cayenne base (290hp at the crank) or even a turbo civic or wrx in my humble mazda cx-7 and screaming away from it when the light turns green!
poor man's cayenne FTW!
