tc in the philippines? help!
im currently in the philippines for vacation. On the way to the mall one day i saw a flint mica 06-07 tc??? i knew it was imported but damn...i miss my car
speaking of my car... i knew ROTA rims were made here in the philippines, so i decided to shop around...
i happen to find a lot of freaking 4x114. whenever i talked to people to find me a damn 5x100 lug they always tell me that i will never find one, soo i just laugh and leave the store... LAZY ___ FILIPINOS
anyways i ended up finding ROTA torque in gunmetal for about 23,000 pesos. which is about 600 bucks...
they are:
17x8
5x100
will those fit? i just wanna make sure before i drop that much... (noob question, i know)

ive been un-sure about buying it. because everyone out here just wants to sell they're stuff you know?
i cant wait to get home so i can put my new shoes on my car. hahaha!!
does anyone have any suggestions for the type of tires i should wrap them with...
i go to glendora mountain road to run the mountain with a couple friends a lot. so i need something that would grip the street and something that can last....
ANYONE??

nexen n 3000. they grip nice and have a longer tread wear than other top brands.
I bought 225/40/18s on www.tire-easy.com for $354 shipped
Tread Wear Rating = 340
Traction Rating = AA
Temperature Rating = A
Speed Index = Y

well the currency here is 45.00 pesos for $1. so if you do the math, it would be around $511
hell of a deal for ROTA's imo.
they usually run for 600-700.
hell yeah. theres soo many cars that didnt get to the US. its crazy.
like the toyota atlis? kinda like the corolla...
every damn car out here is 4 lug. kinda makes me mad..

And BTW, why buy Rotas there, when you could have saved up for a more quality rim here?

well.. shipping isnt a prob.
i can fit them in the boxes i used to bring my stuff in.
since everything in the boxes were for my relatives here.. they'll be empty.
each rim is about... 16-18lbs so put 2 in each box and then some clothes or whatever.
haha and balikbayan. well it was kinda my graduation present, i got like $2000;
spent $1300 on the plane ticket, leaves me $700.
i mean i would of wanted to pick up some advans... but you know.
im ONE BROKE KIDD!! hahah

When I was in the philippines... all I saw was a bunch of old beat up 1980s toyotas. I would've been sooo excited to see a tC there... I'd be taking pictures like a crazy person. I could never drive over there... their driving/traffic is ridiculous!

when i went to the philippines back in 01 i remember seeing mercedes vans, and bmws, ford expeditions and surburbans. now they have every car there. some one in our barrio has a yellow H2. but i prefer to drive the tricycles, or chop chops (scooters).

haha there are a lot of "eff'd" cars here. i like to ride the jeepney... there are alot of jdm cars here..
the new civics are nice.
there are a couple nice suv's that didnt pass the safety test for US.
but i really dont get why people get nice cars, its gonna get beat up cuz of the roads and stuff.. you cant even go pass 30mph out here because of the traffic.
there are like crazy people randomly crossing the street, cars cutting your off, and tricycles and sidecars and stuff.. hahah

I think the first day I got there, we went to walk around.... took us like 20 mins to cross the street. It was crazy. We took a taxi once too and the guy cut across the sidewalk at one point.... yea, I was scared.
