TC Projector Fog lights installed.
I installed a set of Hella Projector fogs in my TC TOday... and they seem kind of dim for Projectors... am i supposed to relay them to get them more power or is it typical for them to be like the same color as my regular tc low beams? i do all car audio, so i dont know much about lights... i just hooked them up 12V to a switch... SHould i use a relay?

The fact that they are projectors has nothing to do with the light coming out. The number of AMPs and the Bulb type does.
If these are the H3 bulb, 55amp hellas that i use to have, then yes that the way they look. It was one of the reasons I switched to the 9006 55amp IS300 fogs (bigger light).
Also don't forget that fogs are onlt 9" off teh ground, so you won't get low beam output looky likey even if they were 100w.
I toyed with upgrading my bulbs to 100w, in fact i have a set sat on a shelf here that i should really unload. But I was chicken that i would melt something so i didn't.
One thing to be very aware of with those fogs, make sure they are below horizontal. Or you'll blind everyone coming the other way.
Find a flat space, park the car 15' or so away from a vertical wall, meaure the top of the bulb to the ground (roughly) then measure your cutoff on the wall. It should be lower that the first measurement. If it's the same or higher, you'll be blinding people.

Also it's worth considering putting HID;s in them, they are projectors after all.
Come Jan I'm sticking 9006 hids in the IS fogs, nothing like spending $400 on a set of fog lights... ho hum.

If you want flamethrower performance lights, you do not get fogs. Get driving lights.
Driving lamps will give you a brighter more intense pattern, becuase they are meant to illuminate a narrower and farther pattern down the road. Fogs usually have hoods on their bulbs to create a cutoff that will not be as far as the ones with driving lights and patterned lenses that widens the beam. This results in a "look" that will not be as bright as driving lamps fron the front, looking at the car with the lights on.

^ Yup, good fogs will illuminate 180deg arc in front of the car, only 6" high and only extending out 20-30' in front.
That's the best design from cutting under fog and lighting the road.
