tC TYC Tail Light PROBLEM!
Does anyone with TYC Tail Lights for the tC have WATER in them?
I Just noticed today after it rained that I have water in them!
Please help if you know of a way to remedy the situation. Otherwise I'm writing to TYC.

YEP, their under warranty from the dealer you bought them from.
ALSO, I noticed when putting mine on ONE light was missing a foam gasket, so I just used the one off of my take off light. Did both of yours have gaskets?

They'd look nice on a white one
Oh, and maybe try to put some silicone sealant along where the back frame meets the lens, it'll save you a trip to the dealer.
Plus, aftermarket tails ALWAYS leak.

Thanks for all of the input guys.
The TYC Tails I have were purchased for FREE. I won them at a Scion meet that we had at the Dealer. So, should I have the gall to tell them, "Hey, the lights you gave me suck, give me another pair?" Or should I just deal with it.
I didn't like them at first, but they have grown on me, and I would like to keep them.
I'll give the dealer a call tomorrow to see what we can arrange.
Also, thanks for the silicone tip. This time I'll do the install.

Send em back get new ones thats your best bet. I'd still let TYC know if i were you that way they know they have a problem.
They have to put the orange in cause it's illegal not to had amber bulbs. I know that most ppl don't care and i've neer seen anyone get a ticket for it But the D.O.T. says it's "supposed" to be there.

I haven't had any problems with my tC TYC tails , yet. Hopefully it's just an isolated problem. I've had the TYC's for the box for over a year now and still no problems. I got my tC TYC's for free also so i hope i don't have any problems.

I guess we should all get tickets.

i have the TYCs installed, no problems. so you just got a bad pair, which has been well determined by now. trade for another pair.
i like how people jump in and go "THEY'RE UGLY" as if that helps.
also, when you do the install yourself, it calls for pulling back the rear bumper, quite a bit to the point where you think you're going to bend/break it off. it wont. i was scared to keep pulling but it gives in eventually. also, there is a section of the bumper that slides into a clip on the bottom of the tail light. they neglect to mention this. i had a hell of a time figuring out why it wouldnt come out, all while jamming a screwdriver in there and scratching paint nobody can see.

I took off the rear bumper completely. It made it easier and less likely to mess up the bumper or the paint. There is an extra plastic screw that makes it easy if you just remove it, this step is noty mentioned in the dirrections.
