Default The tC is UNRELIABLE!!!

JUST KIDDING!!!

OK, I've had Toyotas all my life and I haven't got any problems except the batteries...

My question is:

Do you even need a warranty for Scions?

Who here has had serious problems with their tC(s)?

I to have had Toyotas all my life. Parents 02 Rav4, 2000 Avalon, and my 06 tC have been flawless. (Besides routine maint.) Our 83 Supra has needed some work lately. But hey, a water pump lasting 24 years isn't too bad...

my family has owned 2 Toyota's in the past... a RWD Celica, and a 89 carb Corolla. The Corolla was coming to 200K miles.... most things werent working but suspension, brakes, engine and transmission was perfect! Celica was good also.

if you plan on modding as much as ALL of your posts suggest, then warranty is the least of your worries.

Nobody in my family or myself has ever owned a toyota or even a japanese car for that matter. My mom and dad have both owned classic Porsche's in the past (my dad still has his 1972 911 T) My dad has always driven American made ('92 Thunderbird, '98 buick riviera, 03 CTS) My first car was a mustang, then a grand prix, then a buick. First brand new car is my '07 tC. Currently has 19,000 mi on it and I have spent a total of 39.60 (not including my aftermarket modifications) for 1 oil change (first three were free) and a tire rotation). Out of all of those cars my tC has been the most reliable so far. I specifically remember the Buick Riviera and the CTS making quite a few trips to the dealership.

I only have one problem. Two actually. One squeak in the radio door when its open and one squeak coming from inside the passenger door somewhere. I even brought it in to the dealer and they drove it and told me that they dont hear anything. BS! It drives me so frickin insane that I rarely drive w/o my stereo blastin

my dad had a corolla from 1981, and it stilll run great! great on gas, these motors last forever....

i had to replace the starter once, but not bad for repairs in 27 years....

of course, not the most stylish ride there is, but it does the job!

My family stays true to Toyota.

My dad had an early 80s Pickup. He sold it, but occasionally, we see it still riding around.

I drove a 95 Tacoma before I got my tC last year. It ran great. The only problem was a leak in the exhaust manifold.

My mom traded her 03 Acura TL for a 4 Runner last year. She loves it.

Toyota is a strong company. I see them taking over all of the American manufactures in a few years.

Our 2000(or 2001) Toyota sienna has been running fine all these years, altho recently there seems to be some brake problems, but otherwise, i think Toyota's are pretty reliable. The only problem I have with my tC is tire deflation, which i think isnt really a "reliability" problem. I've seen that dam "low pressure" light on at least 10 times now over this pass yr.

I've only used my warranty for rattles and a bad wiper relay.
