a credit score of 700 is very good, especially for a recent grad. I think they're messing with you. I'd get this dealer checked out.

Any single negative item will disqualify you... it is stupid, especially if you have good credit, but thats how it is.

Unfortuately I don't have the paperwork with me, but I think I recall it saying that qualifications include:

making it into "zone 1" credit. In other words, a FICO score of 700 or above, which you have.

and disqualifications include

any *derogatory* notations on your credit. That's not the same as any negative notations on your credit history. May want to order a credit evaluation from myfico.com or somesuch. I thought it was worth it anyway. I found out my credit score was 698, and in a couple days I'll be pushing real hard to be admitted into "zone 1"

I doubt there f'n with you. It makes no difference to the dealership if you get it or not.

Did you forget that the "finance specialist" is also a salesman? Between Tier 1 and Tier 2 financing there is a about a $1000 extra cost. Now do you think Toyota is keeping all that? I believe the profit on a Scion TC is somewhere around $600. If thats the profit, then how did they get the big fancy dealership..financing

I would go to credit union and tell them to sit and spin.
IF you have any type of Teachers or Educators credit union check theiir rates, so far they have beat every credit union and bank and they tend to go off your debt-to-income ratio verus JUST your credit score.
Dealer would only give me 7.5% and I got 5.4% from the Educators Credit Union.

my problem isnot with the financing apr......they gave me 4.4 for that.....but my concern is that if my credit is good enough for 4.4% then why cant i get the recent grad rebate, denied for having one late payment... that sucks....

I'm only 19 years of age, and have a credit score of 608. Respectable?

repectable, i guess that would be for your age... but overall 608 is still pretty low... =p not to burst your bubble or aynthing, but that wouldn't get you many good aprs for credit... but like i said, you're still young and have plenty of time to build that up. i have a rating of 758, but that's AFTER i closed the account of my previous vehicle and paid of a substantial amount of my debt. credit is a fickle thing

No Adverse Credit

Your credit history must meet TFS credit standards.
Apparently they could care less what your credit score is, or if you even have much of a credit score. as long as you have no derogatory credit, you're golden.
