I was also supprised however at just how much junk you can fit in the trunk (no pun intended) with the rear seats folded down. Its like a small pickup truck back there, even with the sub. I fit 3 7' book cases (not assembled) in there and won a bet with the GF.

I also second the everyone has one. I live in Oklahoma, where you would think that pickups and horses would be the how to, but I see scions all over, often similarly configured.
it's not a check engine light, its a "service engine soon" light...the check engine light is a whole other light which means a whole other problem

The car is very slow, I realized I need to do a lot of modifications quickly, but I knew that. The suspension is terrible as far as performance is concerned. I think it's funny that they put 180 tread life yoko's on it to try to make up for the fact that the suspension can't hold corners. I still love the car though, for $17k you can't lose.

I don't know if this stereo option is just on the '07 but I was very confused when I first got the tC. I was driving and the stereo seemed to get louder and softer all the time, I was like WTF. So I put in a different CD then I turned the radio on, no matter what I did the stereo seemed to change volume by itself. I'm an idiot and didn't realize that it was changing volume levels according to how fast I was going. I finally found out on a 45 minute trip out of town. So I turned the option off!!! It's very annoying

I dropped my seats three inches and moved them back 2. Now I dont have that steering wheel in the chest issue.

Only complaint is the sunroof creaking with the car is off kilter. ins and outs of driveways.

Oh yeah the blind spot is HUGE now when you lower the seat FYI

Well, yea, that blind spot is killer, but we do drive hatchbacks after all, so it is to be expected I suppose.

1. The engine doesn't have a timing belt, YES!.
2. You can turn on/off the radio on the steering wheel button.
3. I liked it more now than when I bought it.

lets see...
-Horribly short gears
-Crappy gearbox
-Fuel economy to par with a minivan
-That secret little storage in the armrest 6 months after purchasing the car. (I thought my friend broke it =P)
-That little light in the back about a year later
