Default Took the tC racing this past weekend!

Well I finally took my tC to the races this past sat night over here in Tampa, FL since I usually don't drive the tC down there seeing how im usually filming my other friends race.

Anyway, so I raced
1). New Civic Si(Stock) WIN
2). 95 Civic (Ls/Vtech i/e) LOSS
3). 92 Hatch (b16 i/h/e) LOSS
4). 02 v6 Tiby (Stock) WIN
5). 92 Hatch (SOHC i/h/e) WIN
6). 03 Altima 3.5SE (Stock) LOSS
7). 96 GSR (i/h/e) LOSS

It was a blast. So heres the break down of my wins and losses.

First car New Si, I beat him by about 1 1/2 cars. Good race tho started cathing me top end but stayed even after 95. When we went from the 40 roll I jumped about 2 cars on him. Got to love that lopw end tq

Second car the 95 Civic Ls/Vtech was fast....! We went from a 20 I Pulled on him into second and half way to third and then he started to pull away, he got me by about 7 cars.

Third car, the 92 hatch b16 was a pretty damn good race. We went from a 20, 40 and 55. Every time I started to slightly pull then realed me in and beat me by about a car and a 1/2.

Forth car, v6 tiby, damn! I thought those things were faster! We went from a 40 and I just pulled away from him they have no top end.

Fifth car, 92 SOHC was hilarious. were going about 50 im in third hes in second. THree honks and we go, he begins to pull, but once he shifted into third I was like bye bye! Got him by about 2 cars.

Sixth car, the altima was just for ____s and giggles! Its my buddies and damn those things are quick, just to put it into perspective the Ls/vtech civic was right with him to 95 and then the altima started to pull away.

Final car, 96 GSR was suprisingly a good race. Same thing we went from a 20 and 40 roll. Both times he won but only by a car and a 1/2.

So that was my sat. night and I have video of all the races and Ill will be posting it wed. I need to edit it first.

Nice

I think that the Altima is probably the most underestimated car. (Not you) Most people don't realize that it isn't just a Camry copy anymore.

Looking forward to those vids ;p

Yea the vid would be nice. :D

Sounds like some great runs. The best run I had with my moms tC was a 1.8T Golf.
We were dead even from a 30mph roll. My moms car is automatic. hahaha

Basically a Civic with a motor swap (LS/VTEC motor..which consists of a Integra block and a VTEC head off of a GSR or 99-00 Si. People do this swap because you get torque from the power of the LS block then the upper end is powered by VTEC. Very good swap IF done right)..and of course I/E stands for intake/exhaust.

Thats pretty cool man. I raced my friends 02 eclipse v-6. He has an intake, exhaust, lowered, lightweight flywheel, stage 3 clutch. We were neck and neck until I hit 106 and I had to shift into 5th then he left me.

People do this swap because you get torque from the power of the LS block then the upper end is powered by VTEC. Very good swap IF done right)..and of course I/E stands for intake/exhaust.
Just to add a little, stock LS motors (B18B1) dyno 130whp and 124ftlbs of torque. With the VTEC head and ECU the power jumps to 155whp and 142ftlbs of torque.
As you can see the VTEC head gives great performance. Thats the only downside of the LS head is its flowrate. It flows like poop. With the VTEC head the mid range power is lost a little but the high rpms really scream.

20whp is good and all but unless you got connections the price of swapping the head on an LS motor is crazy. Normal bolt-ons can get those gains with money left over for some nitrous.

Especially on the Tib..180 HP stock and you still took it
Remember the Tibbys are not light at all. The tC is light compaired to them.

Ohhh, wheres these vids?? hehe

You won't see me racing, I'm to skeered. Oh well. My friend though, who has a Pontiac GTO is always racing people, sometimes scaring the crap out of me, especially going 115 on the local highway and going 145 on the desert roads. I had him stop when he got that far, to scared. So yeah, you won't see me race, now everyone go ahead and trash talk me.

I will admit that I race but its not offten. If Im bothered on the street and someone wants to run me I'll give them a taste.
If their car is not worth my time I'll be an ___ and roll up my windows. :D

I you race thats your choice. Who cares. Pretty much all my friends race. The races are really fun to watch. We watch all the runs inside cars behind the racers. Non of that stand on the side as the cars blow by you 100+ mph crap.

How was that trash talking i was simply condoning that i think street racing is stupid and i dont like people who do it, maybe you should whatch what you say before you say it. I dont like street racing becasue i have lost a couple of friends and family memebers because of street racing. So before you go on about me trash talking maybe you should realize how stupid and full of nonsense street racing is and take interest in a real hobby.
