Default Totaled my tC

Hit a large dog going about 75mph, dog went under the wheels and I started fishtailing when I lost traction and then exited the roadway hitting 3 pine trees head on at 65mph. Blacked out before I hit the trees woke up a few seconds after impact, never felt a thing. Only injuries sustained are sprained pinkie and ring finger on my right hand and muscle tension and soreness... When the sheriff came on the scene he was asking everyone where the body was... It is very unsettling to hear someone refering to you as being dead.

The tC actually saved my life. I still don't know how I survived and was released the same night from the hospital.

Insurance actually called me to make sure I was still alive while I was in the hospital. The Police department had contacted them and showed them the pics from the accident site. I should actually make money from the accident but I really don't think I'll be driving anytime soon. The accident happend on Sunday the 19th of June and I still can't sleep at night without seeing those damn pine trees jutting out from the darkness like vultures at a funeral.

That must have been a big ___ dog! Looks like cars I have seen that have hit deer.

Glad to see you are ok. The cabin of the car did pretty good keeping you safe after hitting 3 pine tree's.

Wow, sure am glad you substained no major injuries. Sounds like hell. That thing you said about the cop saying 'where's the body' sounds really creepy, like outta the Twightlight Zone.

im glade your ok, The nightmares are normal, Esp after such a close call, i was in a roll over at 16, and it took me 4 years to get back into a car after that, maybe calling your DR and letting him know you cant sleep is a good idea, he might be able to give u something to help calm you down..

Very happy your alive and ok, Your very lucky. count your blessing's

Best of luck

you really are amazingly lucky- definitely glad to hear you are okay

my best friend was involved in an accident far less worse than yours and she died and the passenger is now paralyzed...they were in a mitsu mirage..just goes to show how safe the Tc is... the inside hardly looks damaged compared to the outside.

glad you're okay!!!!!

My doctor gave me 45 Lortab 7.5's and 25 Flexoril's to help with pain and to help me sleep so hopefully everything will work it's way out of my mind. I'm going to talk to a Chaplain once I get to leave my apartment, right now I am on Quarters where I can't leave the house.

One strange thing is that if you look in the 4th and 6th picture and see the battery is sitting beside the car... Well when I was being put in the ambulance I saw someone dragging my battery out of the ditch on the opposite side of the highway... On impact my battery flew out of my car and landed about 50 feet away...

Yeah you might want to mention it to your doc see if they can give you somethng to help you sleep.. I have been in several wrecks... everything from skidding off the road hitting a pole at 50mph, to being slammed into by a (BODY BAG VAN) and being thrown off the interstate. Neither of which was in a car with even half of the safety stuff that the tC has... but yeah the nightmares are very much normal.. took me forever to get over them.. even now I still flinch like hell when a car comes close to the passenger front side of my car...

Anyone know how I should get my sound system out? Can't open the trunk because it is jammed shut and the car is 2 1/2 hours away from where i live... I just spent 2 grand getting my system in the tC not even 3 months ago and now it's all gone.

wow, good thing your battery didn't smash into anyone on the other side of the road.

and remember, in the future, buy the aem battery tie-down to prevent your battery from being fired out of your car like a missle during an accident ;^)
