With a low balance like that, GAP wouldn't do you any good. GAP is a great deal if you don't put a lot of money down but worthless if you do.

On another note, I really want to use this as an illustration about a defensive driving method. I'm not saying this was your fault at all, but let's use this as a learning tool for everybody here.

Never sit in the blind spot of any vehicle, especially a truck. If there are two lanes and you find that you're driving at the same speed as another vehicle, either speed up or slow down so you are not sitting in a vulnerable spot if he decides to change lanes. Even if you think you're not in the actual blind spot, if you would be stuck if he made a move, you need to get out of the way. Make the assumption that he can't see you.

The smaller your car is, the more critical this method is. I drive a Tundra and I still follow this advice. Either fall back or get in front of his bumper. That way, you'll never get trapped in a situation like this.

Again, I'm not blaming you for the accident. You could have been passing to the right and he could have moved over before you could react. This is just a piece of advice that will save a lot of wrecked cars.

Wow. Congrats on living, and not only that, you've got all your limbs and the ability to communicate! Impressive ride to say the least!

Sounds like it was a bad situation; night time, ice and snow, combined with a tractor trailer. God I hate passing those dang things, and this is exactly why. Everytime I pass one it gives me the *******. Especially the ones with open trailers and 20 tons of pipe strapped down, I just imagine those straps breaking, AHH!

this time use that shifter to keep ahead of the 18-wheelers. stay outta their blindspots, and don't follow them closely.

drive safetly.

glad to see that you're ok but you should really be in the hospital getting checked out. the cop didnt call out for an ambulance? in a serious mva like this, especially when you say you had side head trauma, they shouldve backboarded and collared you without question and taken you.

An ambulance was at the scene. My vitals were alright, they can't force you to go to the hospital. My dad is a registered nurse, so I waited till he got there.

I'm fine. Fine fine fineeeeeeeeeee, w00t

Just an FYI, there is an RS 3.0 stick in Florida (I just checked my locator machine). I'm not sure what the dealer added to it, but if you want the blue blitz again, strings can be pulled, and things be made to happen; I know people. Just PM if you want more details.

Nah, I don't want the Blitz Blue again. Everything happens for a reason. But thanks, scionofPCFL

And jamessicat25, I got the eyelids off of randode. they are overlays, not the real deal cf.

This Friday I'm going to go down and see what I can pull off of the vehicle. If I can get my hands on the Alcantara seats, I'll sell. Same with the grilles. TYCs will be for sale and so will my OBX automatic pedals and my OBX speed star shift ****.

I will make a thread sometime next week with all the stuff I'm gonna part out, so please don't PM me and ask for dibs, etc. This is just a heads up. I'll put the for sale thread I make in my sig. when I figure everything out.

Thanks, everyone though, for your concerns. Y'all make buying a Scion that much better.

Truly, you have my sincerest best wishes.

I was looking into a tC before I got my Si and Blitz Blue Mica was the only color I wanted at that time...

Any idea what you'll ber replacing it with?

EDIT: Nevermind, I don't know how to read, apparently, haha.

And btw, that grill costs about $900 to replace, and you have to have an RS VIN in order to purchase it. At least that's what my parts counter has informed me.
