Yep. The VIN is correct. You need an RS VIN.

But yeah, hopefully I can get my hands on that stuff, I'm not really sure what I can get, this is the first time I've totaled a car and haven't gotten it rebuilt.

you must have an rs vin? that is outrageous. i mean, money is money, the should sell it to you no matter who you are, even if you've never owned a scion or a toyota in all your life. they can't descriminate like that.

I'm so sorry to hear that, I totalled my truck just last month. It was nearly as bad as your was. But I gotta agree, when it happens, it scares the ____ out of you and it all happens so fast. Thank God you didnt get under hill wheel. At least now you know the TC was built well enough to save your life. Later, and good luck in the future.

Wow, that's crazy $hit!!! Are you planning on parting anything out? If so, let me know about those RS grilles.

Ouch! Just saw the pix! The reason why the airbag didn't deploy is because the tC wasn't hit in the front bumper area (head on per say). Now if she had Side Curtain Airbags, they should have deployed.

CONGRATS on the RS3 tC deposit!!

I don't know about PA, but here in Cali trucks are not permitted in the left lane unless they are passing another truck/slower vehicle or letting someone on the freeway. That could very well determine that he was at fault. (If applicable in PA.) You say it was just you and him on the road...why is he in the left lane? Technically, he should be in the right lane. He could have merged into the left lane to let you on to the freeway. Then forgot about you. Yeah, truckers use the "blind spot" excuse quite a bit. I could go on, but this is all per say. I'd definitely check with your state and local laws on this.

Glad you're okay. It's amazing you didn't get hurt badly, and the car looks like it is actually in okay shape for what it went through! I'm not sure if I would have taken a warning from the cop, as this might fudge the insurance into thinking it was more your fault than the other guys. Did the other guy at least get a reckless driving ticket or anything?

You know you have a good car when you total it in an accident and go right back and buy the same one again.

You pretty much have to drive through PA to understand 1.) how crappy the roads are, 2.) how crappy the drivers are, and C.) how incompetent the police/troopers are.

Words cannot explain the severity of the aforementioned issues.

They're not designed for roll overs. No car is designed for rolling. It's all impact.

I'm glad they didn't go off quite frankly. Who knows how much they would of hurt me. I was fine without the airbags. The car's totaled anyways, so added value of the airbags wouldn't have mattered much.

Ok people, I'm going to try to get the rest of the stuff off the car on Friday, considering if it's there or not... So if you want me to grab some stupid little thing or whatever out of the car, I might be able to do it. PM me what you need, if I can get it, great, if not, ohwell.

I got a few PMs already.

Keep them coming between now and Thursday night.

What about the side srs curtains. I think that should activated during roll over.
Isn't that standard equiptment on the RS2?
