Wish i got a stick int my tc when i am racing around, but that auto is nice when it's your everyday car in stop in go traffic for two hours to work with a hangover. Love my 4 speed in my "race car" though! wouldn't have it any other way.

I’ve personally only had automatics, my fiancé has a Cobra and I've driven several other manuals in my driving time …
I said after my Accord I’d definitely get a manual especially if I’m buying something new, but when it came to the TC, I’m sorry but there’s no way whatsoever I could imagine driving a stick in that.
I’m assuming a lot of you are coming from your civic/celica, other import and smaller cars which basically have the same size gear box. I got in the TC and started shift and OMG it’s retarded close. I know I'm very used to driving the Cobra, but I seriously don't think I could get used to gearbox in the TC. When I shift, I like to SHIFT and I just don’t feel I’m able to do that in this car …
I undoubtedly went with the automatic with this go around …

I drive an auto. There was only one on the lot, and it was my perferred color, but was an auto. I had intended to get a manual car for a new one, but i guess this worked out fine anywayz. My parents feel better with me driving an auto anywayz.

3+ hours a day in LA traffic. Auto.
When I want to feel manly, I take out one of the bikes.
I'll take on any of you that think the tC is a sports car and take out one plug on my bike first!
Sorry, but auto does not = unable to drive a stick.
When I get my Viper in 5 years, it will be a stick.

a couple things:
1. Compared to "Sports Cars" in the 60's, this thing blows them away in terms of performance. (a sports car in the 60's was 4 on the floor, two doors, leaky convertible top, and buzzy exhaust). I guess a modern sports car would be a 90's Viper or a new topless 911...
2. I'm disgusted that 5th gear lets the engine rev so high. This must be the first time ever in the history of automobiles that the standard version revved higher on the highway than the automatic version. I didn't realize that when I bought the car and might have chosen the auto for that reason. I hope someone comes out with a taller 5th gear to swap into my gearbox someday.
3. The SMG on the BMW M6 lays waste to all other gearboxes, period, and it's more or less an auto. Shifting is fun, but that SMG thing... wow.
