Default "Transportation Assistance" does this mean I get a

I have a feeling the dealer will be keeping my TC for a couple of days and I remember seeing this in the warranty booklet..

"Transportation Assistance" You may be eligible for transportation assistance if your vehicle is required to be kept overnight for warrantable repairs. Please see your authorized Scion dealership for further details.

Does this mean I will be getting a free rental while I am out a car?

Is that under the standard warranty, or just if you purchased the extended warranty? That's good to know if it's standard.

It should be standard for any kind of service or warrenty. Usually, they'll provide you a loaner car if they're required to keep the car for more than 2 hours. Things like exterior wax, some kind of interior care, major work, etc.

do you know where this is stated exactly? so that i can show it to them, in case they give me hard time about it.

tomorrow, i have to leave my tC to get the windows tinted, the TRD springs installed, and paint buffed up a bit. would they be required to give me a loaner? none of this is really any type of warranty service. i have a feeling this might take most of the day though. i am also going to ask them to put some more freon for the a/c since it's not really that cold.

thanks!

they are not required to give you a loaner, however some do. Also depends on what state you're in, b/c due to insurance costs, at least here in NJ, its prohibitively expensive to rent or give a loaner to ppl under 25 [used to be 21]. Think about the wording, 'you may be eligible for transportation assistance.' whether they will or not will vary dealer to dealer and most likely will only apply to warranty service.

I was doing SC install on the Matrix ($450 worth of labor) and uninstall ($400 worth of labor) - both times I got a free loaner for a day, and the guy was like "Of course you are getting a loaner - you did not even have to mention it!"

And I did not buy the SC from that dealer - I bought it from a place like mcgeorgeparts.com
