Two questions on driving stick

haha i think you're probably just thinking more about your clutch work when you were in his car... that happens to me, i couldn't get used to my IS300 for the life of me when i first got it, but jump into my friend's 330Ci and i was a pro... then i go back to my car and since i'm still in heightened snese mode, i drove my car better... then i got my beater 92 Ford Taurus SHO and had to re-learn american clutches... after that i drove much better overall...
think that's a good way to practice too... drive other manual because you REALLY learn to find the clutch point better... become more sensitive to it.

I like the clutch in the tC. If you think it's jerky, try driving an '85 911 6spd. I've been drving manuals since I was 12, but the Porshe is like no other. Although I do tend to drive it better when my friend (the girl the car belongs to) isn't with me. Go figure.

I always found rear- and mid-engined Porsches easy to shift. Very similar to Volkswagens, but better.
