Ugly Dealer Decal

Ugly Dealer Decal
I was wondering if anyone knows a safe way to remove the stick-on dealer decal my car came with. I tried searching for any info but could not find any. I am pretty sure the sticker is just attached with some adhesive glue.. and is prolly made of vinyl or some cheap plastic.. I figure heating it up may do the trick, but I don't want to leave a mess.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated....

heres what you do:
clean the area the decal is on.
heat it with a blow dryer or heat gun
take your finger nail (if you dont have one, use a flat thin (but strong) piece of plastic) and work the decal off
once the decal is off, just soap and water to remove reside
since the stiker is new, there should ne little to no reside left, but if so... use a tar remover or something liek that from Stoner.
hope i helped... and deff dont use the razor blade.... thats just plain stupid
you use a flat razor blade on glass when removing paint (such as what dealer put on used cars telling their price, etc.)

i peeled mine off with just my fingernails and it was quite easy (it was made of vinyl and each letter was a "seperate" sticker per say. I'm a guy and my fingernails are very short and no residue was left...but the quicker you do it...the easier it will be.

I picked up my 06 fm tc today. Yes. An ugly dealer decal was there. I carefully asked the dealer to remove it. He told me, "It costs $50 to remove it!"; surely, it was a joke. It seems that my dealer really wanted me to keep the decal. After I had finished all the paperworks, the decal was gone. I looked into where the ugly decal was very carefully and it was removed perfectly. Just go to the dealership and ask them to wipe it out!

u can take it off yourself, if u already have it, why drive back up to the dealer and have it removed? waste of time
best way was the blow dryer method(mines didnt work, it was too weak, i used my gf's one LOL) Then i used my block buster card to scrape it off, partially, bent it then heat the center of the sticker some more and bam it's off
Cleaning it was a hassle, i tried alot of crap, and eventually tar remover solution worked

When we bought my wife's RS 2.0 xB, instead of a clear sticker, the dealership had put a really ugly SILVER PLASTIC logo on it! I had them take it back to their detail shop and remove it and clean off all the adhesive residue before we drove away with it.

1) heat gun/ hair dryer.
2) dental floss / plastic card to remove
3) Goo Gone for residue
4) clean and wax area.
or
Tell the dealer to remove the %#&^% thing.
I alway tell a dealer if I come to pick up a car and there is dealer propaganda on it, I will not accept it.
