Default UPDATE (pg1) New Mods (56k caution)

^that's a joke

I was 57 northbound when a red 06-07 civic sedan (I think) tried to cut me off, almost clipped me so I braked and spun out, hit the center divider, spun some more. That car sped off, as you can imagine he or she was in a hurry. CHP said they stopped a car that matched the description.

I'm extremely lucky I'm alive. By the time my car stopped moving I was facing traffic in the carpool lane in mild traffic. There was a government worker who was heading in the same direction and he stopped traffic in the carpool lane for me and put out a engine fire that was going on while I was sitting in my car deciding what to do and who to call first.

Just to set things straight, I don't hold a grudge against that other driver (not to say I'm not ____ed off at the circumstances) I just wish he or she would drive better and that all wreckless drivers would drive safer or get off the road. If you're speeding because you're late for something it's better to be late a couple of minutes than for the rest of your life (or take someone else's life). For those who speed because it's thrilling, you need to seek help.

I don't know what's going to happen yet so please don't ask, I'll try and update if you guys want to know. This post was just for ya'll to enjoy pictures as I know you guys do. Please try to keep the thread free from bashing, we hear it enough.

Take care and happy Good Friday/Holy Week/Tridium/Easter to all you Christians who know what I'm talking about.

So it's been a long time, SL. Immediately after the accident, my insurance deemed me responsible for the accident because there were no witnesses and there was no other party to fault.

Many months later, I get a letter to appear as a witness in a criminal subpoena.

It turns out, and I just found this out this week after appearing in court, that the guy who caused my accident was followed by a driver who was behind me before the red civic had cut him off. He followed him to CSUF, where the police met them up. I cannot express a more sincere gratitude for such a good-willed person to take time out of his day, let alone put himself in such danger to make sure a wreckless driver didn't get off clean.

The bottomline: he, the driver of the red civic, was convicted and charged guilty of wreckless driving and non-contact hit and run. He has been sentenced to 5 days of jail time and I didn't catch how many hours of service with CalTrans.

I just thought ya'll might want to hear the guy was caught, as I know how you feel about wreckless drivers.

New mods look Horrid man... Might want your money back, especially for that EBay Front Bumper... Doesn't even fit right!

Sorry to hear about the car man, but a car is a car, and can be replaced. Main thing is that you are ok. I'm glad to see that. Keep your head up, thats what we have insurance for right?!

Dang, sorry 'bout that man. tC safety FTW.

I guess it's true, the best way to mod a car is to smash it into somethin'.

I L.A drivers!!

NOT!!

I used to think they were the worst, but now I think my city (Fresno) has THE WORST drivers! I had friends from S.F.,L.A., and out of state tell me that. The best has to be the van on the freeway that had a handicapped emblem on their license plate. This person was TRYING to drive, smoke, talk on her cell, open her mail, and drink a soda all at one time! As if being 'handicapped' wasn't enough?! How do I know this? I was next to her for 3 miles. (I observed all this after passing her because she kept swerving into my lane when I was behind her.)

Anyways; I hope your tC get fixed or totalled. What happend to you totally blows! GL.

It'll buff right out.

But seriously, I think it's better they total it out rather than try to repair heavy damage. It would never be the same. Get a new one and don't mod it like that anymore.
